Tablescapes, Pumpkin Patch

It was bound to happen…
With all the Pumpkin Madness around here, it was inevitable that there would be a big pile …
And how delightful to dine surrounded by a mass of pumpkins…
all shapes and sizes
real and faux
combined to form a giant pumpkin patch!
Large autumn leaves have fallen on the chair backs
and the amuse bouche, or appetizer, is “Candy Corn Compote”
The plates are from Platzgraff
The delightfully shaped salad plate is Villa della Luna
The over-sized dinner plate/charger is Napoli
Stacked chargers are under the plates
atop a burlap runner [see runner fold tips and tricks here]
The pumpkin patch smiled in the afternoon sun
And began to glow as night drew near
The candles look like candy corn now!
Have you noticed how much earlier it is getting dark lately?
And what did we eat, you ask?
Why, Pumpkin Ravioli with Brown Butter and Sage of course!
Pumpkin Soup with Apples and Bacon
Pumpkin Pasta with Italian Sausage and Ham
Get your pumpkin on!

Love your pile of pumpkin, but what I like even better is pumpkin ravioli. Whenever I see it on the menu I order it and have even made it a time or two. It is my absolute favorite pasta. I’m making a run to a pumpkin patch this weekend to stock up.
