Tablescapes, Sweet Sugarplum Fantasy

It’s time for the December tablescape challenge at Cuisine Kathleen. This time she challenged us to create a “copycat” tablescape from Pinterest or a magazine… I chose this Sugarplum Tree tablescape from Purple Chocolat Home
Jacqueline’s table creations are always over the top and fabulous, so recreating one would be a definite challenge, but I knew I had a lot of things in my stash to create a similar feeling
I started by decorating my favorite little silver tree with a pink boa and ornaments from my birthday party decorations, pink and blue polka dot balls and ice cream cones
I did plate stacks with cupcakes under a glass domes
Purple Chocolate Home left, the Painted Apron, right
I added a painted Sweet Shoppe sign, just for fun
and gathered many more things before I was done
Jacqueline also has the cutest Kringle cake stand with shoes, below center, that she used in her Candy Land Christmas Table last year
I put little girl’s Christmas dot leg warmers on my inexpensive metal stand to recreate the look, far left, far right, and below
I created the Christmas Cottages with this table in mind
and added lots of trees, packages, and whatever sweets I could find
Snowflakes fall from the chandy
and everywhere you look,
There’s lots of candy!
This Sweet Sugarplum Fantasy table will be perfect for my Goodie Swap Brunch this weekend
I will move the large pink tree to the sideboard so we can talk across the table
The gumdrop tree was made by our founding member, sweet Kathy
We have been swapping goodies in December for as long as anyone can remember
So I’m sure I’ll have a tale or two to share with you
After this year’s giving and getting
I think they will all just love this setting!
Thank you for the wonderful inspiration Jacqueline and Purple Chocolat Home!
Be sure to pop over to Cuisine Kathleen’s tonight to see all the copycat creations!

Over the top fun and fantasy and sure to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth Jenna! Jacqueline always provides such wonderful inspiration but you made it your own with your adorable cottage, pink boa tree and clever addition of the leg warmers to your stand legs! Your dangling snowflakes and sweet shoppe sign are icing on the cupcake and set the stage for a festive Christmas goodie-swap exchange!
Hi Jenna,
This is just awesome, I just pinned your post. Thanks so much for sharing your Sweet Shoppe.
Hope you are having a great day.
Miz Helen
I’m sure everyone will love your table Jenna! Colorful, fun and… fluffy with the feathers:@) Cool gumdrop tree!
Jenna, I hope you saved me a seat at this beautiful, whimsical table…♥♥♥ it! You did such a wonderful job…the pink boa wrapped tree is adorable. If you have grandkids, especially granddaughters, they will go nuts when they see this table. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Have a great week.
My grandboys, 2 and 6 are always delighted, and can’t wait to run in and see what I’ve been up too! My granddaughter is almost 2 and I can’t wait until she’s old enough to enjoy everything and be a little helper! Thanks Marigene!
Jenna, this makes me grin ear-to-ear! What a darling and whimsical table!!! Love the cutie-pie nutcracker, the sweet shoppe placard, all! Tchaikovsky is my fave composer hands down, and now I want to do the dance of the sugar plum fairy! Thank you for sharing!
I am so glad it made you smile!
Oh Jenna, you captured Jacqueline’s flair soooo well! I am so impressed with both of your tables as they are so whimsical and fun. Your idea of using the child size leg warmers is so creative. Your table is so stinkin’ cute. I want to come be a guest.
You are welcome anytime Kitty! Thank you!
Jenna I love this table and anything with sweets and cupcakes and I ‘m a gonner love the colors in this and so much wonderful detail please tell me where you got the three tiered cupcake metal stand? and there are two tiny packages on your cake stand they are so adorable wherever did you get them. I want to sit at this table and just gawk over it.Susie
hi Susie, I got the metal cupcake stack at Hobby Lobby last year, but I know they still carry it. As for the packages, I can’t remember, I’m a sucker for all things cupcake and little packages 🙂 Thanks for the sweet words
Wow, you’ve created a true fantasy land!! I like your table BETTER than your inspiration. Absolutely gorgeous!
Aren’t you sweet Zenda, thank you!
Lovely and delightful! Love your tree with the boa and the entire table is gorgeous.
Thanks Bev~
Once again, you have outdone yourself!! What a fun and delicious fantasy of Christmas in candyland! My favorite is the gum tree tower. 🙂
Thanks Kim, I have had that for at least 6 years, I store it in a plastic tub in a closet [with A/C] you can make one in a jiffy!
Oh my gosh you did a wonderful job on this! Love the fantasy look and it makes me feel like a kid! So many cute details- you really did a great job on re-creating the look!
Thanks so much Liz!
Your table is adorable, and what a fun setting for a sweet swap party! I love the leg warmers on the cake stand – great idea. You did a wonderful job recreating that table.
Thank you Joy!
Hi Jenna – Oh my goodness, this tablescape is sweet perfection! It really is a sugarplum fantasy and you did such an amazing job with it! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours. Hugs, Holly
You did a wonderful job of recreating J’s table. So many things to look at! Your grands will love it Jenna, it is so delightful! Thanks for taking the challenge!
Thank you Kathleen!
Very cute and so whimsical and girlie. You have created such a fun and lovely table.
Thanks Linda!
What a wonderful job! It is so sweet and makes me smile just looking at it!
Thank you Sheila!
Jenna, I am just floored by how beautifully your copycat table turned out. Fabulous lady, simply fabulous. All of the details and nuances are spot on perfect to the inspiration table. This really is just too stinkin cute!! I have to go back and look at it again and read every word over and over. I am inspired now to get to work on my gingerbread tablescape and use some of your delightful ideas.
Thanks so much Candy! I can’t wait to see your gingerbread table!
Bravo! You did a great job of recreating the essence of Jacqueline’s tablescape!!! It doesn’t have to be “the same” to be a great copycat!
Your pink boa tree is the cutest!!! I would love to have one of those to put in my dressing room during the Christmas season. It’s “foo-foo” quality is tops!!!
What’s really terrific about this table besides the fact that it turned out so good is that you did it with stuff you already had!!! What does that tell you about our “hoarding” problem??? 😉
Tee-rrific!!! Enjoy your weekend and your sweet, sweet table!
hahaha, you’re right, the problem with being proud of NOT buying anything is sort of washed out by the fact that you already have SO MUCH stuff!! Thanks for the sweet praise Alycia!
How playful and fun, and I would think that would be true of putting it together, too. You chose a very good table to copy and did it up right.
OMG! You sure nailed it recreating Jacqueline’s table, it is awesome! So much for like a fairy tale anyone would love to sit at it. That pink boa C’mas tree it’s just my cuppa tea. Lol, I mentioned the fact that I haven’t bought a thing for my copy cat…big deal hubby says, you can start making any capy cat with all you have…heheheee..
What fun this challenge was, right?
Have a fun week ahead.
FABBY
Oh my goodness! You out did yourself!! Your tablescape really is a sugarplum fantasy!!!
Thank you so much for sharing it with us at Project Inspire{d}!!
Awesome! You sure got it right and I know all ages will love this. You need to do a seminar on tablelscapes……..
ha, you are too kind! The other day at a luncheon one of my friends said, watch out girls, and hold on to your forks, Jenna is liable to change the tablescape any minute!
A cheery explosion of fun and whimsy. Wonderful
thank you Gail!
I love this — so much fun! I am bookmarking this so I can do this next year!
