Summer’s Here!

Want to go on a boat ride?
The first weekend of May arrived on the gulf coast with sunny skies and turquoise waters.
People were celebrating the arrival of summer everywhere you looked
One of the first things we saw was this enthusiastic pooch playing fetch at the end of the island
He sat patiently and waited for his toy to be thrown
And he’s off
The water was literally striped with shades of turquoise and deep blue
Watch out for low flying pelicans
Find yourself a sandbar and stake your claim
Time to head home, it’s getting crazy out here!
Let’s relax on the porch and watch the boat parade

That looks like a great day Jenna! The water was beautiful, bet you all had a blast:@)
Oh how lovely!!
I can’t wait until we get our boat in the water and begin our island explorations. Yesterday you would have thought it was summer here. Temperature was 72 or so and people were wearing shorts and tank tops. I guess a warm day is a welcome relief after such a harsh winter.
Great photos Jenna! I love your bird shots with the heron and pelican and of course the dog retrieving his water toy 🙂 Look at those palm trees and turquoise waters…*sigh* Our lake activity has really picked up with our warmer temperatures. I really don’t look forward to boats buzzing our dock with no regard for no wake zones and those noisy jet skis but it’s all part and parcel of living on the water. Happy Boating to you 🙂
I’m so jealous! It is barely spring here in Pennsylvania!
I’m sorry, but don’t worry, summer’s coming! >
Where on the gulf coast? Looked like Sarasota
Where? Looks like Sarasota
Orange Beach, Alabama
This looks like considerably more fun than painting and tiling, which is what I have on the agenda for the day!
Ha! don’t be too jealous, I have been cleaning, reorganizing cabinets and closets, washing bedding etc…hoping to spend some time on the porch this afternoon with my watercolors~ hope you get a lot done today Ellen! >
Hi Jenna! The pictures are wonderful! I would be very envious if we weren’t spending this week on Casey Key and enjoying the beach.
xx,
Sherry
