Creations, DIQ Pedestal Jar & Painted Planter

This is what I call a DIQ project, you know, do it quick!
My favorite kind!
I spray painted the jar Ballet Slipper pink and painted the candlestick with Annie Sloan Duck Egg chalk paint
I decided to paint the lid rim Duck Egg too
Then some gold gilding wax for highlights on the candlestick and the lid rim
All done~
To glue or not to glue? I haven’t decided yet, but if you choose to glue a project like this try E6000, it’s great stuff
This ceramic planter used to be orange and I painted it white and waited for an inspiration
Finally! I got an inspiration while I was working on the pedestal and jar and decided to make a matching piece
I pretty much made a hot mess of the gilding wax on the planter, with all my DIQ ing, but instead of painting over it
I added a row of gold dots which visually cleans it up and straightens it out
This planter got some drama with black and duck egg checks around the top and bottom, duck egg accents on the corners, and black dots on the lattice sides
Stop by tomorrow to see these DIQ projects in action in the master bath~

I love quick transformations like these. And, it’s always fun to paint! I’m looking forward to seeing how you used these in your master bath. (BTW, I love the metallic gold accents!)
Thanks Kim, I love to use the gilding wax, it’s like magic! >
