Tablescapes, Cotton Pickin’ Pumpkins

When the cotton is high in the south, it’s time to pick some pumpkins!

I did my pumpkin pickin’ at Trader Joe’s

They are piled in a galvanized tub with magnolia and cotton white as snow

Pumpkins pumpkins everywhere

I love my new pumpkin pillow over there in the chair!

Napkins tied with burlap and twine

Large gold goblets waiting for water or wine

Pumpkin tureens,

Cotton bolls and leaves of green

Lots of bounty from Mother Nature

Now all we need are some fall temperatures!

Juicy details

real pumpkins are piled into a galvanized oval tub from Home Depot with faux magnolia leaves and cotton sprigs from Hobby Lobby with a few faux pumpkins and sunflower

The napkins are tied with twine and a piece of wide burlap ribbon

I didn’t buy anything for this table, the tablecloth is a matelasse quilt

Such a gorgeous table to welcome fall/autumn which I can hardly believe is here! I love the galvanized tub holding your centerpiece. The colors are so pretty which really pop on the quilt. Your pumpkin pillow is lovely. Your home looks ready for the season…………

    • Thank you Emily! It has been a whirlwind week, one thing after the other, but I do feel better now that I have some pumpkins around and things are looking like fall instead of summer!

  2. I love this table, Jenna. Those softer colors with the pops of orange are perfect without screaming a halloween kind of fall. The magnolia, cotton, pumpkin centerpiece is my favorite.

Love your cotton pickin’ pumpkin table Jenna! Your matelasse coverlet makes the perfect white cotton tablecloth for your table. I so miss my Trader Joe’s *sigh*

  4. Nice Southern touch to weave cotton boughs in with the pumpkins Jenna. You’ve given your trio of pumpkins on the pillow such a personality with their lively stems. Beautiful play of light too. Love them!

I love pumpkins, and your beautiful tablescape is the perfect thing to welcome fall. It has been so hot here in Oklahoma that I have not bought any pumpkins yet. I am hoping that it is going to cool off soon I am so ready for fall! I hope that you have a wonderful day! Happy Fall!!!

  10. Beautiful and abundant. I can’t imagine how much more abundant once some of your yum recipes get out there!

  11. Jenna, I think I have to order that pumpkin pillow! I am planning a Trader Joe’s trip later this afternoon. Now to the wonderful autumn table…pumpkins and cotton are the perfect combo for your beautiful table. The matelasse coverlet is stunning used as your table covering! I love it all!

I don’t blame you for “pickin’ pumpkins” at a store. Anything to stay out of this heat! (Although, I can’t imaging picking pumpkins from a field any year…and forget about pickin’ cotton!) Your table is so fun and whimsical. I love your mixture of metal, cotton, and pumpkins. 🙂

  14. Gorgeous table setting!!! and that pillow is awesome!!!! very nice design!! =)
