Tablescapes, Fishy Fajita Buffet

As Labor Day approaches, the end of summer is not far away and I think we all anxiously await fall fun
We actually have about 8 months of nice warm weather in the South, and we’ll be able to swim until mid October. But when school starts, and football begins, aren’t you ready for pumpkins, cooler weather and all things fall?
Now’s the time for one last summer tablescape to celebrate season’s end
I got out some of my favorite funky fish things to set up for the fajita buffet and table
HH jr made this long wood fish, so perfect for an easy fajita buffet set-up
Solid color chargers with blue bordered plates on top with wonky fishy stuff around their edges
Fish napkin rings hold napkins that are actually dish towels, great for messy dinners like fajitas
The centerpiece is a simple arrangement with a large hurricane with blue sea glass and bright patterned candlesticks
The fish are having a grand old time!
Tortilla chips will go in the Martini Grande and grated cheese in the small shrimp bowl
Green margarita glasses are for salsa, guacamole & sour cream
Grilled chicken and steak pieces are served on the fish board and tortillas on the blue fish plate on the far right
With an additional blue plate for the sauteed veggies, dinner is ready
A fajita buffet is such an easy way to serve dinner for 2 or a crowd, great for any time of year, and people can custom make their dinner the way they like it, win win!
Thanks for stopping by 💃

I love the colors in this tablescape. Where did you find the placemats? Thanks.
I got the place mats at Pier 1 a very long time ago. I didn’t list the sources because everything I used I’ve had for years, sorry!
Thanks! I always forget to check Pier 1!
Such a fun table Jenna with the cute fish and great colors. What a great fish your son made for your table, he is so talented. I think the margarita glasses are perfect for serving for the scape and such a clever idea to use the dish towels for napkins. A great summer tablescape!
Hi, Could you recommend a great Hawaiian Music CD for a luau? Thanks, Gale

YUM! This looks SO Good! LOVE fajitas! So festive too! LOVE all your fish, the wooden board, (such a cool idea!) And the margarita glasses to serve up the condiments! Too fun! We are hanging on to summer (even though we love fall), as I can never get in enough beach days. Wish we could swim until October!!!
Oh what fun. I love the spiky fish.
Fajitas are such great summer food. Your tablescape really sets them off well, too!
Jenna, this is such a fun and colorful tablescape. The fish napkin rings are so cute along with the fish board your son made. Love your quirky fish. A margarita and a fajita sounds great now.
A perfect space for a summer celebration: love every bit of this tablescape! Bravo!!
