Tablescapes, Summer Goodbye

This is officially the last summer weekend around here,
Next weekend is Labor Day in the USA,
a holiday,
Plus the start of college football and lots of good cheer
Labor Day is considered the beginning of Fall,
even though our temperatures won’t be dropping much at all…
A table of rainbow hydrangeas is my way
to send Summer off In a very grand way!
I gasped when I saw these blooms* for sale
at the grocery store, tucked in a florist’s pail
Mini patio chairs pull up to the mini patio table
Holding the vase full of flowers elevated on the larger round table
It was all done in fun
But I finally just set the vase on the platter and was done
Pflatzgraff’s pretty Villa della Luna sets an early fall mood
Terra cotta and cobalt blue, colors that definitely to Autumn allude
Painted forks to match the china sit at each place
A view from above, a colorful space!
Are you ready for a Summer Goodbye?
It’s always a little sad for me, I just might have to cry…
Oh, but what lies ahead, and the fun to be had
With pumpkins, football, Halloween, well, I should be glad!!
Be sure to join me next Sunday
The Traveling Totes will be sharing another adventure
and a giveaway!
*rainbow hydrangeas were artificially created by a florist {Piggly Wiggly Birmingham, Mountain Brook/River Run store}

Jenna your summer table is lovely. Love the colors and contrast of the blue. A lovely floral arrangement of hydrangeas is a perfect centerpiece. I also love the way placemats. Yes, summer is over but we shall have lots of fun this fall.
Thank you Linda, yes, bring on the pumpkins!
It’s so pretty ! Love the tablescapes! laura
thank you Laura!
Beautiful table and flowers! 🌸💚🌸 It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over.
I know, sniffle sniffle… thanks Patty Anne…
Jenna, those hydrangeas are beautiful and make a stunning centerpiece! Your dinnerware is so striking with those rich colors. I’m a little sad to see summer winding down, but I’m also happy to see all the fun that autumn will bring. Happy Sunday!!!
It is in the mid-60s this morning, and I have the windows and doors open! I am soooo ready for autumn to be here!
Oh that sounds lovely Carole!
Rainbow hydrangeas! I gasped as well!! Beeeaaauuuutifullll!
Aren’t they fun?? Like an artist’s palette 🙂
I’d gasp too, at the rainbow hydrangeas, Jenna! I love how you set them on a mini table, with mini chairs pulled up to the sides. Your table is so beautiful and i love the matching painted forks. I’m ready for some cooler temperatures of Fall, but can’t believe that summer is almost over.
I certainly have never seen anything like them! I have been changing the water regularly and they have lasted for over a week!
Rainbow hydrangeas, wow, such a lovely centerpiece! A beautiful transition from summer to fall. I am enjoying the cooler temps and lower humidity for sure, but still want summer to hang around a bit longer. Lol
Thank you Cyndi! It is always hard to see summer go…but it is also always fun to anticipate the coming season!
Spectacular flowers Jenna-enjoy! Bring on football season:@)
Yes, Roll Tide!
Jenna, the rainbow hydrangeas are fabulous as is your goodbye to summer table. I love the mini table and chairs….so cute! I am ready for cooler weather, football (Roll Ride), bowls of chili, and hot chocolate! Have a wonderful week!
Thanks Pam! I hope you’re finally getting some rain!
Those hydrangeas! I thought you painted the floral petals yourself, Jenna! It’s kind of sad to see summer go, but the heat at this point has its way of making us all wish for fall. I personally am looking forward to some comfort foods, so that table looks most appealing to me. 😉
Thank you Rita, I agree, everyone is tired of the heat! We are cool now, in a rainy spell and hoping to see the sun again for the upcoming holiday weekend!
Rainbow hydrangeas–never heard of them, but leave it to clever you to sleuth them out. How beautiful! It is so poignant that summer is slipping away and fall is swooshing its way to us. But as always, Jenna, you are right. Pumpkins and sweaters and crinkling leaves and all the wonderful foods your readers mentioned are in our future. Sad and glad at once, oh how I love the South and its many faces!
Thank you Shelia, I had never seen or heard of them either, and they actually look so natural you almost do a double take! We have had some rainstorms this weekend and it is looking like fall, leaves everywhere!
Jenna, Generally I view artificially colored flowers as a hate crime 😉 but your rainbow hydrangeas are so pretty…perfect for the end of summer and with your VDL! I am beyond ready for cooler temps, football and all things fall! ♥
I totally agree, I cringe when I see carnations dyed into unnatural colors, but these hydrangeas were so pretty, I couldn’t resist…
Oh how lovely are those hydrangeas! I have not seen the color anywhere. Beautiful table setting, love your colors with the hydrangeas. I really like how you elevated your centerpiece with the little table. I find it hard to believe it is football season already. I was taken aback when the college game appeared on our screen Saturday evening! Need to be thinking about the “spreads” I guess. Have a great week.
Thank you Emily, aren’t they crazy?? I had to get some! We are so excited about football this coming weekend, RTR!! We have had a ton of rain, Friday power was out for 4 hours!
Gorgeous farewell to Summer tablescape. I cannot believe those amazing Hydrangeas! so Beautiful! I’ve never seen them before, And YES, I’m ready to say goodbye to Summer! thanks for joining in with All About Home.
thanks Debra!
Hi, your summer table looks perfect, gorgeous, classy and lovely. Photos are very beautiful and clear.
Thank you!!
You’re welcome.
Okay, I think my heart just stopped!!! I love hydrangeas but I have never, ever seen rainbow hydrangeas! Where did you find them??!! They are exquisite!! Gorgeous table, I love it! And I’m drop kicking summer out the door…after weeks on end of triple digits, I’m ready for it to go! 🙂 Hugs!
haha, I know right!!! Believe it or not I got those flowers at Piggly Wiggly! The Mountain Brook/River Run store has a really great gift shop area and specialty flowers…the woman working in that dept told me they were hand dyed somehow to look like that!
You have a beautiful summer table with a perfect transition into fall! I love it!
thank you Jeanie!
Your table is just perfect to take us into fall, and your Rainbow Hydrangeas are just beautiful. I must find a couple of the bushes to plant in my yard next spring, can’t wait! Thanks so much for sharing your awesome post with us at Full Plate Thursday,447 this week. Hope you have a great Labor Day Weekend and come back to see us real soon!
Miz Helen
Thanks Miz Helen, I love the rainbow hydrangeas too, but unfortunately they don’t grow that way, the florist dyed them to look like that!
Absolutely beautiful table Jenna. I just adore it! Girl….you just have that magic touch it seems. Happy Labor Day. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Well, aren’t you the sweetest! Thank you Cindy!
