Tales of the Traveling Tote #21, Fabulous Fall

Happy December!  🎉

Welcome to the Tales of the Traveling Tote #21

My tote, “Miss Coquille” and I have had a fabulous fall

We kicked off September with a 3 generation family reunion at the beach house

I took Miss Coquille with me to visit CCOG {CC’s other Grandmother}

who was staying at a Rustic Country Farmhouse

Miss Coquille carried the boxed lunches I promised to bring

This was a her friend’s home, but it was like a vintage flea market/museum

There was so much to see!

Can you imagine having a life size bear in your living room?

We did more back and forthing to the beach house

We celebrated a birthday at a super cool new restaurant in “the city”

And enjoyed Mother Nature’s Alabama Autumn Show

We spent many Saturdays watching Bama football on the patio with friends

I filled Miss Coquille with my sketchbook and crochet project

and spent the afternoons outside

And finally the days were cool enough to light the fire

and do a little strumming

Sunday afternoons were spent at the baseball park

Miss Coquille carried a load of table decorations to a friend’s house

where we spent a happy afternoon creating a Thanksgiving tablescape

We had a lovely Thanksgiving week seaside

with mild temps, boating and swimming

We went to lunch at a local favorite, Lulu’s on the intracoastal waterway

Big E and Miss Coquille got carried away posing…

This is such a fun place, Lulu is Jimmy Buffet’s sister…

She brings her own version of cheeseburgers in paradise to Gulf Shores, Alabama

Not to mention her famous Fried Green Tomato BLT 😋

I was hoping to give you a tour of DD’s new house this month…

But the finish date has been moved to Jan 30

There have been changes and delays,

which, considering they tore the entire house down to the concrete slab, is understandable

They are patiently enjoying the process and watching it come together day by day

Stay tuned!

Be sure to visit all my fellow Traveling Totes friends,

they have been all over the world!

Happy December Jenna! Such fun to spend Thanksgiving at the coast. Love seeing the grands and seeing all those boys lined up on bow of the boat. I have it reminds me of us boating about 10 years ago with my nephews when they were younger…we have 12 nephews and 1 niece…like CC, she was outnumbered. 🙂

    • Wow, 12 nephews, that’s a football team! CC has 2 girl cousins so all together there are 8 boys and 3 girls…I’ve got to batten down the hatches when they’ll all be at my house for Christmas Eve!

Oh you’ve had a great fall Jenna. It’s always special at the beach and I know the grands love to spend their holidays there. Great family pics. LOL, can’t imagine having a big bear in the house! Can’t wait to see your daughter’s new home with that amazing view. Look forward to seeing you soon……..Happy December Jenna.

Jenna, it looks like you have had such a busy and wonderful autumn! We have vacationed in Orange Beach, and my kids loved LuLu’s. They had so much fun! Happy December!

    • Thanks Shannon, yes, Lulu’s is so much fun for kids! We had such a beautiful week of warm temps and summer like fun. Cold today though and I am headed back to the “city” 🙂

What a wonderful fall filled with family and adventure! I just love sharing your beach home with you and the family! Lulu’s sounds fabulous – I would have to get a bite of several – my family is good like that – we aren’t germaphobes!!! So glad you could get everyone together. I bet it was a wonderful time. That farmhouse looked amazing! What a fun collection of items to grace a unique home. I know all about the frustrations of building – I bet they were planning on spending the holidays there – so disappointing, but they will have many ahead of them! My daughter called crying all of the time – but now I am the one calling and complaining to her!!

    • Thanks Jackie, actually, they really aren’t frustrated at all, they want it done right and are enjoying the process. It’s been wonderful for the children to experience the day to day changes, it’s kind of like watching a fairy tale come to life!

  5. Nancy says:

Happy December Jenna! And you have had so much fun with family and friends this past fall. The family pictures are fabulous! Love seeing them enjoy each other and You!

    LuLu’s looks fun!

Jenna, you and MIss Coquille have had a fun filled autumn. I know your family enjoys all the family gatherings. You are the perfect hostess! Happy December and all the best for the holidays ahead. Your littles with the tree in the truck makes me smile. Oh, for the joy of little people in ones life!

  7. Rita C. says:

Jenna, your local adventures suit me to a T – traveling tote, that is! Whether we go far or stay close to home, life is full of adventure when we simply enjoy our friends, family and seasons. I love seeing how you toggle back and forth from city to sea. Fall in AL has some real beauty showing in your pics! Life is good! Happy December!

  8. Deb cantales says:

Miss Coquille and you are so fortunate to have a wonderful social life! Those life size bears are popular in our mountain resort area, and I have seen businesses carving bears and other wooden items with a chainsaw. Glad you had a place to hang Miss C! Happy December to you and your family Jenna. Let the Christmas magic begin! xo

  9. Bonnie Morgan says:

  11. Jenna, you and Miss Coquille have had a fun and busy autumn. I love seeing your grands, they are too cute! You amaze me with your back and forth travels to the beach and entertaining in two homes with such ease. I can’t wait to see DD’s home when it is finished. Happy December!

Fried Green Tomato BLT, oh my, I’m on my way!…At least I wish I could be on my way. It looks like you had an amazing time at the beach, and I think you have made traveling back and forth between homes to entertain into an art form. All the little boys in the bow of the boat with their life jackets on brings back many wonderful memories for me. I’d say your made excellent use of your Autumn. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. CherryKay

    • Thank you Cherry Kay, as you can see I am happiest when I am home, north or south, and so grateful I can travel back and forth as I please…I can’t believe December has begun, Happy Holidays to you and your family!
