Tablescapes, Bountiful Basket

Welcome to the annual Celebrate & Decorate’s Thanksgiving Hop!

Thanksgiving, or a day of thanks celebrating a fruitful harvest,

is celebrated in many countries on various dates

In the USA,

we celebrate Thanksgiving on the 4th Thursday of November

Thank you Chloe for another fabulous blog hop!

We are hopefully going to inspire you and help you set

a beautiful Thanksgiving table!

I know this year many of us

will be celebrating in a different and safer way,

but that doesn’t mean we can’t still set a special table

to celebrate the many things we are thankful for!

The theme for my table is Fall’s bounty

The centerpiece is a large shallow basket,

overflowing with fresh and dried fruits, vegetables and natural elements

provided by Mother Nature

Please come in and I’ll show you around!

This table is set for a small group of four,

normally this table would be set for many more…

But that doesn’t mean that it can’t be festive and full

with Thankgiving eye candy to enjoy with every spoonful!

There are turkeys and pilgrims sharing this table

Black wire turkey napkin rings help keep the napkins

at the ready, and stable

A turkey tureen sits proudly to one side of the bountiful centerpiece

Another turkey and compote flank the other side

of the basket showpiece

A tiered tray at one end holds pumpkins and large Brussel sprouts

More signs of a bountiful harvest no doubt!

Does anything say Thanksgiving better than

a basket of vegetables and fruit?

All that fresh produce is hard to dispute!

The colors of Autumn are well represented

And after a wonderful Thanksgiving meal we will all feel contented!

  1. Jenna, what a warm and inviting table you have set. The basket filled with the bounty of autumn is perfect as the centerpiece. The MC tiered tray is so lovely with its pumpkins and Brussel sprouts. As always, I love your rhyme…you are so multi-talented. It would be a pleasure to sit at your table and enjoy a delicious meal and delightful conversation. Wishing you a beautiful November day!

Jenna, I love your bountiful harvest at your table! Your basket is overflowing with all the goodness of the season and your little gobbler spoon makes me smile! Looking forward to seeing your pilgrims platter on Friday and I hope your real life pilgrims and Indians will be sharing your table with you this Thanksgiving. Happy November ♥

    • Thank you Mary, the plan is to celebrate at the beach house, so far it is still undamaged even though it will be hard to look out at the water and see the remains of all the piers…

  3. Nancy says:

Jenna you are such a talented friend! What a blessing you are to all of us!

Your table is set so beautifully and I enjoyed your rhyme as well!

You know I’ll be back to see your tutorial!

    Happy Tuesday dear Jenna!

Jenna, what a beautiful explosion of color at your table’s center! Anyone who knows you know that you will be putting those items which are edible to use in some way with your fabulous recipes each month! It is so cheerful, and that is exactly what we need to carry us through however weird this holiday may turn out to be. That Armetel is handsomely styled with your hand-painted creative elements on the table, and I like those napkin rings. I look forward to your weekly art tutorials and, speaking of art, I treated myself to a few things of yours this past week from Society6 and I couldn’t be happier! Even Mr. P. appreciated them – that’s HUGE!

    • Oh goodness Rita, thank you so much!! Wow, when you get a man to notice that is HUGE! Thank you for you always great comments, much appreciated!! I swear I can’t believe it’s November, it will be January before we know it, we’ve got to slow the calendar down and enjoy the upcoming holidays!

  5. Bonnie Morgan says:

I am continually amazed at your creativity and enjoy being a tablescape partner with you in these hops. It is so much fun to see each person’s personality show through.
Your positive attitude and example shine. Thank you.

So gorgeous Jenna, you are really talented! Everything looks fantastic!

  7. Good morning, Jenna! As always I am in awe of your creative talent. Love all your photos. Have a great week.

Dearest Jenna, your table of thanksgiving is absolutely beautiful! I love how you created the basket full of natures bounty. It creates such a stunning centerpiece with is autumnal color palette. I am going to borrow this idea from you. I like it because when you are finished with the arrangement the items can still be used. Nothing gets wasted. On another note, your dining room window treatments are gorgeous. Sweet friend, I hope that your November is filled with peace and many blessings!

    • Thank you so much Shannon! the drapes were made by a local designer years ago and I still adore them, they puddle on the floor and make me feel like Scarlet O’Hara 🙂 I had fun making the basket, at first I wanted to shop for things to fill it up, but once I got started I realized I had plenty of things and didn’t need to go shopping…one of the bonuses of these stay at home times, using what you have! Let’s hope we all can enjoy a long peaceful November to relax before the Christmas holidays!

  9. Sarah Anderson says:

Jenna, I don’t recall ever seeing your beautiful dining room. Love your long table! I smiled seeing the Wilton Armetel plates. We had pieces too! Your long centerpiece is a wonderful bounty of goodness. I like the tall candle lamp. Beautiful table for your Thanksgiving feast.

    • Thank you Sarah! I love my dining room, but alas, it seems like we use it less and less…but I keep it seasonally decorated just to enjoy. My mother talked me into registering for the Wilton Armetel plates when I was a bride and I’m so glad she did, I still love them to this day!

  10. Sandra Magle says:

Love all †he textures and colors you used in your display…grasses are always a great touch. I’m going to cut some today from my lemongrass and other pots. Very pretty table…hope we can actually use it! Grins, sandi

Oh. My. Goodness! I adore your hand painted turkey glasses Jenna! So much so, I’m gonna try to make them to take as favors to my son’s for Thanksgiving. It’s a great craft for me, as I love to paint glasses, have the supplies, and it’s a project I can do while still in this darn cast. Your entire tablescape is so warm, festive and inviting. The bountiful centerpiece is fabulous!

  18. So beautiful Jenna! You have inspired me!

Jenna, Your table, graced with the basket full of the earth’s bounty is a lovely nod to the original Thanksgiving celebration. Your sweet hand-painted glasses are a fun addition to your table, too. I love the addition of the turkey compotes. I serve my Thanksgiving meal buffet style, but I like to keep cranberry sauce and gravy on the table in lovely servers like these. Thank you for joining us once again!

  24. Very festive! I got out my turkey collection this week too!

  25. Marsha says:

Jenna, a bountiful basket of this year’s harvest is the perfect way to express Thanksgiving and is the top symbol for giving thanks and gratefulness. You captured it beautifully in your exquisite tablescape. I love your use of brussel sprouts too. It isn’t often seen in decor, but I love it! It makes a pretty decor piece as well as a scrumptious dish! Your soft pumpkin colored runner really enhances the basket of wonderful edible gifts. Happy Thanksgiving.

    • Thank you Marsha, I really wanted to go to the store and get fresh flowers, pomegranates, and other elements but I started filling it with things I already had and I thought hey, no need to buy anything else! I hope your Thanksgiving is full of blessings…

  26. I think your basket is bigger than my table! It’s a stunner. Oh, I should think anyone would be honored and feel rather pampered to sit at this gorgeous spot!

  27. Julie says:

I love this table you decorated for your Thanksgiving celebration. It looks beautiful with the fruit and veggie centerpiece. This year will be a different Thanksgiving for everyone.
Hope you have a nice day and enjoy the weekend.

I don’t know if the word “swooning” is still popular but that centerpiece has me swooning!! It’s so colorful and fall and definitely the focal point. I will also never look at Brussel Sprouts the same way again. Happy Thanksgiving!!

  30. Beautiful! Your tablescape will be featured in tomorrow’s Creative Compulsions.
