Set the Scene, it’s Almost Time for Halloween!

Set the scene,
it’s almost time for Halloween!

It’s time to have some SPOOKY fun

Come on in, we’ve just begun!

It’s all about the Boos you know…

Ghosts and pumpkins all aglow

The plate where you sit will determine your fate!

Trick or Treat might be at your seat

Or Dracula might have a bite!

Eek, what a fright!

Perhaps a ghost might try to scare you away

He wants all the candy corn to himself today!

All in all it’s just SPOOKY fun

The Happy Haunting has just begun!

And when the sun goes down at night

Pumpkin lights will be a welcome sight!

Adorable Jenna! I can always count on some rhyming fun from you. Love how you positioned the bowl of mellowcreme pumpkins between the witch legs and those adorable plates! As always it’s a treat to hop with you, Happy Haunting!
Thanks so much Mary! I always look forward to our hops, so many diverse and wonderful ideas and tables!
Jenna, I look forward to your poetry, as you know I do poetry also and I know what time and talent it takes, so it is much appreciated. Your salad plates are adorable and unique. I don’t think I have seen those before. And the mason jars are so festive. Your attention to detail is always a delight. Thank you for showing the pumpkin stacks all lit up; they along with your centerpiece are fitting for this table setting! I, too set out candy corn and marshmallow pumpkins but somehow they “disappeared” before the photo shoot! LOL !!! Have a wonderful day; Blessings always my dear friend.
Thanks so much Kari, those silly rhymes just seem to pop into my head and I can’t help it! I love to use candy corn and candy pumpkins for decorating, but I don’t like to eat them and either do my grands, so they tend to stick around! Thank you for your kind words, and I’m so glad you are hopping with us this time!!
Your home is so festive and beautifully decorated! I too love those plates.
Thanks so much Angie, I’ve had those crazy plates forever, they are fun to pull out this time of year!
Jenna, you set the scene for Halloween fun perfectly. I alway love when you set a table with a poem. I love a pumpkin stack especially when it it lit. The plates are so cute. I agree with Kari, your attention to detail is always delightful. The grands will love your table!
So much fun hopping with you
Thanks so much Pam! I couldn’t resist those pumpkin stack lights when I saw them at HomeGoods, a dangerous place for me!
Amazing Jenna! Everything is so festive! I hear the Monster Mash playing in the background!
ha ha, thanks Dorothy!
I love the “BOOS” bottles! Clever! I’m so glad you listed the other blog links. I used to visit some of them regularly then got out of the habit. It will be a treat to sit for a few minutes (ha) and pop in on them once again.
Thanks Leslie Anne, lots of creative tables in my blog hop group!
Jenna, your table and poetic words made me smile this morning. It brought back such wonderful Halloween memories. Your table is absolutely precious and definitely ready for some Halloween fun! I know you sweet grands will love it!
Thank you Shannon, I just love the fun side of Halloween…I hope the kids get to trick or treat this year, it was always my favorite holiday as a child!
I love your tablescape, Jenna! The plates are mesmerizing…I’m hypnotized! I like how each one says something different. The little pumpkin totems that light up are great for nighttime! Cute signage, and it truly is all about the “boos,” huh? I see what you did there, My Friend! ;P
Happy Halloween! Your dining room is certainly full of halloween mirth.
Thanks so much Ricki Jill, I couldn’t resist the pumpkin stack lights, someone almost took them out of my cart at HomeGoods because I got the last 2!! I’ve had those crazy plates forever, they are fun to pull out every Halloween 🙂
This Halloween post is no tricks but all treats.🎃🎃🎃
Thank you Bernadette!
“…all about the boos!” Yeah, baby!!!!!!!!! Leave it to you to come up with all these fun touches for this Blog Hop! I had absolutely NO DOUBT your creativity would jump front & center for this challenge! I had to quickly scroll through those with the “Twilight Zone” plates, though. My vertigo immediately kicked in. COOL!!!!!! That’s when you KNOW you’ve created a successful tablescape!!!
Oh goodness, I’m so sorry the plates made you dizzy! I have always loved Halloween, but only the cute side, no thanks to the creepy gory stuff! Thanks Alycia!
SPECTACULAR and SPOOKTACULAR

Thanks so much ladies, so nice to hear from you!
Jenna, what a fun and festive setting! And an adorable poem to accompany it too! I’ve always adored your painted Halloween glasses — such sweet eye candy! But then I spied a new witch flying on her broom. It may be your best work yet. Can’t wait to see the tutorial on Friday. You come up with the best original designs.
Thanks so much Debbee! I used to have a handpainted glassware business and sold to gift shops all over my state…I loved it but it was a ton of work and eventually I got burned out and retired to do other things. Most of my designs are just a matter of a few well placed strokes. I hope you will be inspired!
I like your stacked pumpkins Jenna! Happy Haunting:@)
Thanks Lynn, I couldn’t resist the stacked pumpkin lights 🙂
Cute rhyming lyrics Jenna paired with a table filled with colorful dinnerware like the painted glasses and the spiral plates that look like something out of a Hitchcock movie.
I look forward to seeing how the witch was painted.
Thank you Rachelle, I love the fun cute side of Halloween, this is about as scary as I can get!
Jenna, the plates are so cute. Love your painted glass goblets. The pumpkins look amazing all lit up. A fun table with lots of treats…cute Halloween critters. Always a pleasure to join you. Happy hauntings.
Thanks so much Linda, I’ve had those plates forever, can’t even remember where I got them, but they always come out for Halloween!
What a fun table — and such cute plates. I do love candy as a decor element!
Thank you Jeanie, for anything Halloween you must have candy, right!
So much fun in your designs! I have always loved the little pumpkin shaped candies as they are so cute, but they are just like eating pure sugar so no appeal. Now, if they were made out of chocolate, that would be a whole other story! LOL
Thank you Linda, I don’t eat the pumpkin candy or the candy corn, I just like to use it for decorations! I agree, chocolate is a whole other story!
You always set a fun table, Jenna, with all your special touches. Those plates are so cute and of course all your painted pieces make it so personal. Great job!
Thank you Kitty, Halloween was my favorite holiday growing up!
Jenna, so cute. You have the cutest and funniest Halloween decorations. I love your little poem ~ you paint and your a poet! What fun to come to a diner at your spooky table. You definitely have a knack for creating an interesting and unique table. Happy Halloween.
Thank you Carol!
Quite a bewitching table! The plates are adorable with the little figures perched on the edge. Your centerpiece will haunt my dreams until I give it a try. I always love your painted glassware and you’ve outdone yourself today. If only I could paint something besides a stripe, sigh. The ghouls and goblins (and me) can’t wait to join you for dinner!
Thanks so much Sandra, I’ve had the plates a long time, no idea where I got them, but they’re a lot of fun to pull out every year!
What fun and wonderful pictures. Love it all and I would have so much fun sitting down to this festive table with you. My grands would LOVE your Halloween. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy, I do hope the children can have a normal Halloween this year!
Always love your rhymes, Jenna! And all your cute painted things.
I know the grands have a great time at your house for Halloween.
Very creative and cute table.
Thanks so much Bonnie!
You really are ready for Halloween. Everything is so creative and looks great! Let the fun begin
Thanks so much Judee!
Such a cute table Jenna and the perfect rhymes to go with it. Love the salad plates, the boos – are they painted wine bottles?, and the orange and black polka dotted table runner with the witches legs is perfect! And did you paint all those wine glasses? Wow! So creative and fun!
Thanks so much Kim! Yes the boos are painted wine bottles and I did paint the glasses, I used to have a painted glassware business and sold to gift shops, so I have a lot of hand painted stuff 🙂
This is so fun, Jenna! I love the happy twist on Halloween with your artful creations of Brunhilda, the BOOs and your candy corn mason jars. I don’t know how you continually create the poetry to go along with your tables, but it delights me each time. That table runner is way too cute. Thank you for bringing your style to the hop, I love it!
Thank you so much Rita! The silly rhymes just pop into my head when I’m putting the posts together 🙂 Thanks so much for hosting our hops in such an organized way~ I hope you’re getting settled in your new home, can’t wait for a peek!
I love your rhymes and your festive Halloween decor. Fun idea to position the candy bowl between the witches feet/legs. The shelves filled with Halloween glasses is an extra special touch. Wishing you a happy and fun Halloween!
Thanks so much Sandra, I like to keep Halloween on the cute side!
Jenna, your table is so adorable and playful. I love all of your cute figurines and your painted stemware. Your story in rhyme really brings a smile to me. The bull-eyes Halloween plates are so unique and the runner with the witches legs is so comical. I love your expression of whimsy. Happy Halloween!
Thank you Marsha! I have had those crazy plates for years, they are fun to pull out and use every Halloween 🙂
So much spooky fun Jenna! I love the boo bottles! Those stacked pumpkins are fabulous. I can see how those plates could draw you in under the spell of the witches and goblins! Those hand painted wine glasses are adorably spooky! I always look forward to seeing the tables you create!
Thanks so much Maureen! I really loved your elegant Halloween tablescape!
Such a fun and whimsical table, Jenna! I love those mason jars painted to look like candy corn. Speaking of candy corn, I’d seat myself in front of that plentiful dish! I can’t get enough of it lol! I always love to see your artistic creations, and the wine glasses painted with witches are so cute and creative! I also love how the table looks at night with the glowing stacked jack-o-lantern candle holders. It’s always a pleasure to hop with you. Happy Halloween!
Thanks so much Rebecca, and please help yourself to the candy corn, I think it’s super cute but don’t like to eat it!
I had already decorated for fall, but I swear by “the holy priestess of arts, crafts, and decorating galore” that I shall put out my HALLOWEEN goodies tonight. Some of them are just cheap things from the dollar store, some are from friends, but it is the ritual of using these tiny treasures every year that brings one a decorating buzz.
BTW I finally caved and ordered my own 8×10 of your art creation– the red truck full of pumpkins–I LOVE IT!!– and it came quickly. I also ordered one of your small signs with the word “wicked” on it and it will go out tonight as well with the Halloween things–you have become part of my memories. Thanks, Jenna for being so creative!
Georgia Gal
Oh Georgia Gal, thank you! I am so flattered and so glad you like the prints! Society 6 does a great job and the quality of their products is always top notch. Everyone says my grands must love the Halloween decorations, but I do it as much for myself as for them! I hope you have a ball decorating and enjoying your Halloween pretties! 🎃👻🎃
