Fearless Friday, Fun with Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves can be incredibly beautiful
and often 1 leaf can be a rainbow of colors

Let’s draw and color one today!

First draw a leaf,
you really can’t make a mistake because leaves,
like people,
come in all shapes and sizes
Draw it in pencil first
then go over the drawing with ink and erase the pencil

Next, I broke it into smaller sections

Then added small random shapes and squares

You can download a free printable here if you want to color along

You can use colored pencils or markers
I used markers and started with several shades of yellow,
then browns

Red and orange

Shades of purple, darker red and lighter orange

And a little green to finish!

If you don’t feel like coloring,
you can download and print my colored leaf here

Cut it out and add it to your Fall decor!

Leaves are really fun to create with watercolor too,
you can see the tutorial for the leaves below here

Leaves also make wonderful Fall or Thanksgiving place cards

See the tutorial for the leaf name tags or place cards here

Have some Autumn leaf fun and
Be Fearless!

Thank you Pam, have fun at your girl party!
What a fun post, Jenna. I haven’t done my annual leaf watercolor(s) yet this year. I suspect by the time I do, the leaves will be brown and harder to find. Although we are having a late color turn — pretty much everything here downstate is still green. I’m looking forward to that glorious color. You make me really want to play!
Oh good Jeanie, have fun!
Oh, how I love autumn leaves and your blog today–fall is my favorite season! I could hardly make myself “leave” as I “leafed” through the art work. Love the idea of the leaves for place cards. I just may sit this afternoon, sip some coffee and draw leaves. So glad you share your talents with us and inspire people! Georgia Gal
I love to inspire Georgia Gal, and loved your witty leaf commentary! Have fun playing with leaves!
