Fearless Friday, April Calendar Page

Happy April!

No silly jokes or pranks today, just a little April fun

making a customized calendar page

This is a nice addition to your journal or for the family bulletin board,

highlighting the special events of the month

I started by sketching designs and objects

that I might possibly want to incorporate

I looked at Pinterest and Mary Englebreight books for ideas

Then I created a page using designs, objects, letters and numbers,

indicating the special days of the month for my family~

April Fool’s Day, Palm Sunday, my grandson’s birthday

Easter and Earth Day

I also made a printable for you without W’s Birthday,

so you will have plenty of room to add your own special event or 2

if you want to print this out here and make your own custom April page

When I color something like this,

I start by coloring the things I know what color I want them to be,

like the green leaves and the yellow chick

Then I colored the bunny and watering can gray

and the earth blue and green

Chocolate cake…

Black numbers and flower accents

Final colors

And dots to finish and fill in the background

Have fun and make a personalized calendar page to enjoy!

Be Fearless!

Jenna, this is so clever! I love this idea and am sharing with my niece. Hoping her little girls will take this idea and make one of their own. Thanks for sharing the print out for them to get started. Happy April, my friend!

  13. This is a really cute idea, Jenna, and one of those jumpstart things that get your head and hands working together. It would be such a fun project for kids (especially if there was a birthday or something personally special that month, too). I’m remembering this one!

Me too! I am getting rid of several decorating books and 3 teacups I have of her art. I can’t decided if I should sell them on EBay or what? Any suggestions?

      • Good for you, I have tons I need to get rid of but can’t seem to part with anything! I don’t know much about reselling, I’ve heard facebook marketplace can be good…local sales so you don’t have to ship…
