Flowers, wine and a pretty table,
for celebrating in a perfect way…
I saw these pink peonies and alstromeria at Fresh Market
and fell in love…
I just love these close ups taken from above
Pink has been a favorite color since I was a little girl
It always makes me smile and want to give my skirt a twirl 💃
The table is set with nostalgic plates
Parked close by, a flower filled tricycle awaits
Scattered paper blooms and a large flower napkin ring
All these pink flowers just make my heart sing!
A floral “Whimsey” Wine Chiller holds a favorite wine
A glass of cool Chardonnay would be just divine!
The chairs are tied with green sashes in bows
Tucked inside is a small bouquet of more than one rose
After several days the peonies turned from deep pink to pale,
but they were still beautiful, just a little frail…
Our Mother’s Day plans are still up in the air
but I’m hoping there is a moment
for DD and I to sit in a chair…
to share our blessings of being moms
and say a thankful prayer

Jenna, your Mother’s Day table is beautiful. I love the centerpiece of peonies and alstroemeria. My peonies have exploded in bloom this week. The tricycle is too cute all dressed in pink. I have also loved pink since I was a little girl (a long time ago). Happy Mother’s Day to you and DD!
Thank you so much Pam! I would love to have peonies growing in my yard, it’s not often I find them for sale…I didn’t know the color would change, they started out a deep pink and faded to white, is that what usually happens?
I am not sure. My Sarah Bernhardt peonies lighten when brought inside. My darker Karl Rosenfeld do not get lighter. That is a good question and I need to research it!
I have had flowers that changed color a little before, but these peonies were quite dramatic, literally went from deep pink to white almost overnight!
So sweet, Jenna. I love the girly look. Peonies have captivated me, now that I have several in my new garden landscape. For a small garden, they deliver a huge impact! Happy Mother’s Day.

I could have sworn I commented on this but I’ll bet I did it just as my internet went out and everything stopped! It’s a glorious table. I adore pink, too — it’s such a happy, cheery color. Those peonies are gorgeous. My outdoor ones (I’ll see them in June) are usually loaded with ants so I have some pretty faux ones inside, but you miss the fabulous fragrance. As always, your table settings are simply lovely!

I do love pink and was so excited to find those beautiful pink peonies, and of course once I bought the flowers I had to set a table 😂 I doubt DD and I will get to sit quietly, my house is much more likely to be full of noisy children and guys, but that’s okay, that’s the way we like it!
