Take-out Tuesday, 10 Most Popular Take-out Tuesday Dinners

August 1 2022 was the 10th anniversary of The Painted Apron

I thought it would be fun to look back and see

what the top ten most popular dinner recipes were

for Take-out Tuesday

I post recipes on other days too,

but the Take-out Tuesday recipes are recipes that are

“easier than getting take out”

I post a variety of recipes for take-out Tuesday,

appetizers, side dishes and desserts

but for today’s top 10

I limited the list to just dinner recipes

The 10th most viewed is Loaded Chicken Tetrazzini

Chicken and vegetables combined with thin spaghetti

in a creamy Parmesan sauce

Prepare it up to 24 hours in advance for an easy one dish dinner

Your Slow cooker will do all the work for this #9 Taco Soup

Simple ingredients magically transform into a hearty soup

while you’re busy doing other things

Set up a buffet with various toppings

like shredded cheese, lettuce and tortilla triangles

and let everyone serve themselves

Another magical Slow Cooker soup is

#8 Cheesy Hashbrown, Sausage & Potato Soup

#7 French Onion Chicken Bubble-up is an easy weeknight dinner,

pretty much a “dump and go” type casserole…

lots of flavors and textures in this simple 6 ingredient dinner!

#6 Maple Sausage & Belgian Waffle Bake

Make this the day before and refrigerate overnight before baking

for a special breakfast or have breakfast for dinner!

#5 Chicken Gyros with Shortcut Tzatziki

the shortcut is using a purchased tzatziki sauce

{Trader Joe’s has a good one}

One of my longtime favorite recipes came in at #4

Secret Chicken Enchiladas,

the secret is they are so easy to make!

Another good make ahead and bake later recipe

Tacos are a favorite around here

and these #3 Baked Tacos can be prepped early in day

and just popped in the oven at dinner time

Serve them with lettuce, tomatoes

and sour cream or guacamole if desired

#2 Pork Belly Bites

are a great appetizer that can easily be paired

with a baked potato and a green salad for dinner

And #1 most viewed dinner recipe is

Blue Ribbon Chicken Gratin

this has all the flavors of Chicken Cordon Bleu

baked with pasta into a comforting casserole

If you haven’t tried any of these I hope you’ll pin some

for the next time you need a fast and easy dinner

that’s better than take-out!
