Home Decor, February Home Tour

I’ve been busy transforming my house from winter snowmen
to Valentine hearts and Mardi Gras Beads

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for winter to be over!

I did leave a few snowy trees out on the mantel,
they look pretty with my pink sparkle tree and silver wreath

Pink and red floral paintings and a photograph
are displayed in the secretary
A Valentine tiered tray sits on the bar counter

The bar shelves display painted Valentine glasses and other Valentine things

In the kitchen there is a small tea tray

There is a heart tea cup, a heart topped cupcake,
a glazed pink jelly donut and a washing machine teapot

A Valentine Wreath decorates the outside of the front door
and a Mardi Gras wreath on the inside
The foyer table features a tray of purple, gold and green
and Mardi Gras masks
So even though it’s winter outside, it’s now warm and bright inside!

If you don’t have any Mardi Gras things,
you can still add the traditional Mardi Gras colors
of purple, gold and green with flowers and nosh on
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love your Valentine and Mardi Gras touches, Jenna. I’ve put just a few Valentine things out, but am looking forward to touches of spring.
Thanks Rita, our temps are supposed to be near 70 the next few days ,woo hoo!
Jenna, your Valentine and Mardi Gras bring a festive touch to winter time. The washing machine teapot is so cute. I loved the tour ♥️
Thanks so much Pam, I used to collect funny teapots but have given most away, this one is usually in the laundry room for decoration 🙂
What a lovely Valentine and a Mardi Gras home tour! Your pinks and reds brought a smile to my face along with the purple gold and green!
What a joy to have a peek into your home. Thank you!
Happy Sunday!
Thanks Nancy, I’m so ready for Spring and a change of scenery!
Mixing Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day is a hurdle of decorating here on the Gulf Coast, but you’ve triumphed and added just the right touches of both. Blended celebrations are the best!
Thanks Leslie Anne, I’m sure Mardi Gras decor is in full force down there!!
Love your collection of artful hearts!
Thanks Mary!
Lots of fun decor – love the little heart tea cup and saucer…..And beautiful secretary – I have the base and it makes me want to paint it!!
Thanks Patti, I painted it {after much debating with myself} some years ago, and have loved it and never looked back. I used chalk paint and it covered so well!
Thank you for the tour. I think it is great that you blend the seasons a little. After all, that is what happens in nature. Last week I couldn’t quite get warm even in the house, and the dogs were lucky to get a 1 mile walk in the cold–forget 2 miles. Today I had to abandon a light jacket in favor of just a long sleeve shirt in the beautiful sunshine! Happy February!
Thanks Linda, our weather has been similar, very cold last week and this week in the 60s-70, hello sunshine!
I certainly enjoyed the tour Jenna and you have your home decorated beautifully for Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras. You have so many lovely things displayed. I smiled with the tray with the WM teapot, how cute is that. I have a tiered stand out for Valentine’s Day but nothing for MG. I’m so ready to pull out my pretties for spring….
Thanks Emily! I’m looking forward to the warm temps this week!
So festive Jenna, loved the tour. Winter is over in my home, but not in my heart. We are hoping to be able to XC ski and snowshoe a couple more times in February 🙂 Then I will decorate for Spring. Have a great week.
Thanks Deb, I know you love winter and ski sports, but I grew up in California and am not a fan of winter!
I love your mantel. So simple and yet so much fun! And the tiered tray is so great for tossing in a whole bunch of stuff that doesn’t go elsewhere and somehow it all comes together and works! I love all the touches in your home. Onward to Mardi!
thanks so much Jeanie!
Jenna everything looks so adorable. I love how you transition from one season to another with your decor. I have gotten lazy! LOL! I am only decorating kitchen area this year for V-Day. Just seems there aren’t enough hours in the day! I love, love, love your tray! I did put out a small white tiered tray and the little grandgirlies wanted to decorate it. Simple but cute. I will have to post it next week. I hope your week goes good. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thanks so much Cindy, tiered trays are such fun to decorate, I know your little grandgirls enjoyed doing yours!
Valentine’s–my favorite holiday for decorating fun. I have loved the symbol of the heart all my life, and your beautiful home punctuated with all the cheery hearts is beautiful. I also like the Mardi Gras touch.
I am late decorating, but today I am making a bow for the mailbox. Thanks, Jenna, for keeping us reminded of the special days we should honor–and decorate for. Bless your heart! Georgia Gal
Aw, thanks Georgia Gal, the decorations really help when the weather is rainy and dreary! Enjoy the warm temps this week!
Beautiful photos. everything looks so lovely and inviting.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Marilyn,Joan and Marion
Thank you so much ladies!
Hi Jenna, I’m ready for winter to be over too! Your decorations are so lovely! Thanks for brightening my day! ❤️
Thanks Jill, we actually had nice weather this week, 70+ degrees, it was heaven!
That does sound heavenly!! 🌞
Jenna, I love that you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras! Hope you’ve enjoyed some sunshine this week. ♥
Thanks Mary and yes it was sunny and 75 yesterday!
