Summer Sea Shells
Welcome to the Summer Tablescape Blog Hop!
A big thank you to our fabulous hostess Rita from Panoply
You will find links to all my talented tablescaping friends
at the end of this post
I had planned to set an outdoor table
when I was at the beach house recently,
but the day I was going to do it,
Mother Nature brought rain!

So I brought the beach feeling to my “city” home
with a tablescape of sea shells and flowers

I can guarantee there is no chance of showers!

Flowers and sea shells are two of my favorite things
When they’re put together, my heart really sings!

The sea shells look so pretty with pink

And the rich green really makes everything pop,
don’t you think?

The dinner plates each have a different sea shell

There are shells on the glassware as well

Two shells are on the salad plates

A simple summery tablescape!

Good Tuesday Morning to you dear Jenna. Your summer sea shells table is fun and cheerful. I feel close to the sea as I sit at your table. The shell plates along with shell glassware are unique and beautiful.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Nancy, I’ve had this china forever and it’s still a favorite 🙂
Jenna your seashell plates are so pretty, and the seashells you glued around the plate are almost identical size. It’s hard when collecting shells to get so many different sizes. I love your pink roses and your table for two. I understand about the rain. It is pouring down rain here today so we certainly couldn’t be outside, they say we’re gonna get into the double digits, we need rain desperately, but not quite that much but isn’t that the way it is feast or famine always a pleasure to blog hop with you. I know you’re waiting to go back to the beach very soon happy Tuesday .
Thank you so much Kari! Enjoy your much needed rain!
Very summery and beautiful! I love the cutlery /silverware!
Thank you Angie 🙂
Good morning, Jenna. You brought the beach to the city beautifully with your Summer Sea Shells! I love the centerpiece…bowl of flowers sitting upon the plate of seashells on the rim. Pink and seashells make a lovely beach vibe. The sea shell dinner plates and salad plates are very pretty, are they new? Glassware and napkin rings are the perfect additions to your sea shell table.
I always enjoy hopping with you, Jenna. Happy Tuesday!
Thank you Pam, I’ve actually had this china for years, I just haven’t used it in a while, it’s a long time favorite.
So beautiful! I love the pink dishes.
Thank you Dorothy!
How pretty! I just put all my shells out a few days ago. Summer is my absolute favorite time of the year – and your table is perfect for all the summer mermaids! It reminds me of, “Maggie and Millie and Molly and Mae went down to the sea to play one day . . . “
I love mermaids!
Jenna, such an adorable table with pink and seashells. Love the goblets and compotes. The starfish napkin rings are so fun! Those seashell plates and chargers are so cute. I have been admiring some shell chargers for those for years, I need to create some. You have managed to create a lovely pink seashell table at home. We are in the 90’s today. Always a please hopping along with you. Happy summer.
Thank you so much Linda! I love sea shells 🙂
Everything comes together so well — it’s light and airy and full on summer. I really love the shell theme and that pink is wonderful!
Thanks so much Jeanie!
Jenna, I love the pretty pinks featured in your lovely shell-themed table–it is an unexpected departure from the typical coastal blues! The starfish napkin rings are so fun, too. Pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction
Thanks so much Cecilia!
Such a pretty and relaxing table – I love the soothing colors. The napkin rings are darling and remind me of Cape Cod! Cute idea to place flowers in your candlesticks!
Thanks so much Patti!
Jenna, you make me giggle with your rhyming posts! I do love the pretty pink shells and roses, and how the colors blend so nicely. The napkin rings are so cute, and I do love the goblets with the shells on them! Precious table! It makes me want to walk on the beach and look for shells!
Thank you RJ, I’ve had these things for years and they are still a favorite!
Jenna, your seashell table setting made me instantly long for the beach. the plates reminded me of the ocean and I could almost hear the wind as it comes from the sea to the shore. the napkin rings fit the theme and the colors all blended nicely together invoking a calm, relaxed feeling to the table. thanks for sharing this with us.
Lynne
Thank you so much Lynne!
Happy Tuesday Jenna! Mother Nature has interfered with my tablescaping plans more than a time or two, but your table with shells and flowers is lovely…so pretty and feminine! I’ve long admired your Fitz and Floyd ‘Coquille’ plate and goblets with the blush shell pink color inside. 🐚 Love the contrast of the green with your plates and how you used multiples of the starfish napkin rings! As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy almost Summer 💗
Thank you Mary, this is still one of my favorite dinnerware sets, and I’ve had it forever 🙂
Your planned setting may have been rained out, but your city backup is lovely!
Thank you Linda 🙂
Even your wreath coordinates with your pink and green seashells tablescape, Jenna! I love the pink colors the sea offers in shells, and your plates and stemware with shells remind me of good trips taken to the beach, and nice big shells brought home (pre-TSA days!) – very much a summer vibe! The seashell rimmed plate holding the flowers is well done, something I always wish I’d tried to do (and still have the shells, just not the motivation). I’m very happy to see your summer seashell tablescape in our group in this hop. Thank you, Jenna for bringing the beach to us!
Thank you so much Rita! I do love sea shells! The shell charger wasn’t hard but it took a while, I think that’s why I only made one 😂
Jenna, this is so pretty and soft and beachy! I’m sorry about Mother Nature spoiling your plans for a table at the beach house, but your setting looks absolutely darling in the “city” house. The Coquille shell plates are lovely and you have showcased them beautifully with the pink napkins and starfish napkin rings, and the cute little pink compotes. The shell goblets are wonderful. I love the shell charger centerpiece with the wonderful pink flowers. And even the wreath on the door is perfect with the setting. As always, it is a pleasure to hop with you and wishing you the most glorious summer!!
Thank you so much Kim! I have had these things for years and they are still favorites!
I love beachy tables! So summery. I have to ask…do you have one of those floating mats for your beach house? I used one in the river in FL at the Airbnb and it was so much fun. xo Deb Cantales who always shows up as anonymous 🙂
Hi Deb, we do have a large floating mat, the kids love it!
Jenna, I immediately felt the sand at my feet when I seen all of the lovely shells. It is wonderful how you used the pink color with the shells rather than the blues and greens I usually see with beach tablescapes. I love it! The plates are awesome and you are so right when they are paired with the sage green color it really brings many images to my mind. I can see the green beach grasses swaying as I watch the remaining pink colors of a setting sun. Your sea shell tableware collection is unique and the delicate pink stemware is perfect. Even though it rained and your setting was indoors in the “city”, I really felt I was at the water’s edge. Happy Summer!
This comment was from The Little Yellow Corner Store, not anonymous.
Thank you so much Marsha! I have had this china forever, it’s a favorite!
Jenna, your flower and seashell tablescape is the perfect thing to welcome summer! I couldn’t think of a prettier combination than pink blooms and seashells. Pairing it with green makes it even more perfect. As those two colors are one of my favorite color combinations. Your seashell plates are so pretty as well as the pink glassware. I know how Mother Nature can be, but I always love when you set a table in your wonderful entry area. Happy summer, sweet friend!
Thank you so much Shannon, I love pink and green too 🙂 I hope your summer is off to a wonderful start!
Jenna, one of my favorite things, walking on the beach collecting shells. I do love these shell plates and the pink napkins and flowers make this city setting look like it’s at the beach. The addition of the pretty stems with shells is the icing on the cake, I love those. I know you are happy to be back in the city but I bet the beach is calling for the July Fourth holidays! Happy summer sweet friend……….
Thanks so much Emily! I’ve always loved sea shells, treasure to be found right on the beach!
Jenna, you know I love walking a beach, sand between my toes. My summer table has a shell encrusted mirror as part of my centerpiece. I didn’t make it, and someone did an excellent job of encircling the mirror with natural sea shells. I love your shell plates and the footed cup with shell base. The coral color is perfect! Clever to use the star fish napkin rings in sets of three. Happy Summer!
Thank you so much Sarah! I’ve always loved sea shells and did make a mirror once~ perfect for summer decor! Happy Summer to you too!
Jenna, your tablescape is beautiful. I love the soft pink tones you chose to use.
Thank you so much Steph!
So pretty, Jenna!!! You have used such a beautiful soft pink here that your table feels so soft and comforting. Like – come sit by the sea and enjoy- inviting!! I love love love the two stemware choices, they are perfect with your beautiful place settings!! I hope you have a wonderful summer!!☀️😎
Sorry, this is Ann- from Corner of Plaid and Paisley 😘
Thank you so much Ann! Happy Summer!
Oh Jenna, Pretty in Pink Seashells INDEED! While I’m sure the beach house would have been lovely, I’m delighted that we got to step inside and see this tablescape that is pastel perfection. I so often think of blue for beach scenes but you are inspiring me to try something new next time!! Absolutely fabulous!! ~Hugs~ Jennifer
Thanks so much Jennifer!
Oh Beautiful Jenna! I do, in fact, think the green realy makes everything pop! That soft blush pink is just gorgeous, and I always love your rhymes – it’s so fun hanging out with you! Not to mention getting such great ideas! I’m thinking of all the ways I could do a seaside theme now … Thanks for another fun and inspiring tablescape!
Thank you Barbara! I started collecting this china decades ago, it sort of started my love of setting pretty tables and to this day it is still a favorite~
Jenna, the pale pinks on your table perfectly capture the opalescent quality of pretty shells! They evoke a peaceful morning by the sea, before the sun begins to heat the day. The plates are gracefully detailed and the goblets with the shells are so unusual and absolutely the ideal choice. A lovely day at the beach! Have a wonderful summer!
Thank you so much Sandra, I love this china!
Jenna, I love the shell theme and the beautiful summer colours. I have a soft spot for pink and green. The plates are so pretty with the different sea shells, and so often you only see them in blue, so the pink is a really nice change. I love the casual flower centrepiece of flowers in a bowl surrounded by shells. The starfish napkin rings are cute too! Wishing you a wonderful summer season.
Thanks so much Maureen, I love the soft pink too and this china is a long time favorite. I hope you have a wonderful summer too~
Jenna,
Your table is so beautiful and I love those chargers. Congratulations, you are being featured on TFT. I hope you stop by. https://www.eclecticredbarn.com/2024/06/first-day-of-summer-on-tft.html
Hugs,
Bev
Oh Thank you Bev, see you then!
I had service for 12 of that Fitz and Floyd “Coquilles“ dinnerware. I’ve lost it. How can one lose service for 12? I even had the completer pieces and the lidded scallop soup bowls. I’ve lost all of it. It was good to see it on your table. I also like whatever dinnerware that is in the first picture with the little boat. So cute!
Oh no, I am so sorry! I have always loved this china, it really launched my love of tablescaping when I started purchasing it years ago. The boat plates belong to Rita @ Panoply, she hosts our tablescaping hops. Would you be interested in joining us? We have have tablescape blog hops about 6 a year.
