Fearless Friday, Blue Bloom

Sometimes less is more

In art, you can get a dramatic effect

by leaving part of the subject left to the imagination

This hydrangena bloom in a glass vase began

with a very light pencil sketch

A few lines with an aqua marker

Some darks

Green lines indicating the stem

Beginning the bloom with blue marker and light blue colored pencil

Leaves

A few details

A little more blue

“Blue Bloom” 5″ x 7″ marker & colored pencil on mixed media paper

I hope you will try this “less is more” concept,

it’s a lot of fun~
