Tablescapes, Summer in Bloom

You know the saying,

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?”

Well, when life gives you flowers, do a tablescape!

I recieved an unexpected and beautiful bouquet

of flowers the other day

and I knew a tablescape would not be far away!

I knew these flowers would look pretty

with my summery abstract plates~

I had to get started, I just couldn’t wait!

I used the matching place mat I painted under the vase,

it was the perfect place!

You can see the tutorial for the painted place mat here

There are flower candlesticks on either side

On top of soft turquoise flowers

they are having a quite a nice ride!

Looking down from above,

there is a lot of blooming love!

The plates are sitting on a ruffled pink place mats

With fringed pink napkins held by a bloom

There are so many pretty flowers all over the room~

It’s been much too hot in the “city” for Alfresco dining outside

I’ll be happily enjoying this table inside!

Thanks so much for your visit!

As always–lovely. If those are Peonies, you picked one of my FAVORITE flowers of all time. They are so feminine and the fragrance is perfect. You are right about the hot days, we have had a few scorchers over here in Georgia.
Your beautiful work everywhere has made a cool and inviting place to dine on the hottest of days. Shelia (Georgia Gal)

You did a beautiful job on that table. I love the pink goblets. I’m surprised you have peonies- our peony season ended in May.
