Fearless Friday, Tee Time!
My grandsons, Super Teen and Charlie Brown are avid golfers
This makes my heart sing
because my husband HH was a very good golfer
as is my son HHjr
The boys both have
Spring birthdays and I’ve been thinking of doing
a little golf art work for their rooms

I did this with pen, ink and markers
I did a pencil drawing first
and used a template to draw the golf ball

The golf tee

I also used a ruler to get the club shaft straight

Outlining the club face

Time for ink

And presto chango, the magic happens with color!

Sometimes, I get so tied up in my work I forget to take photos,
and I’m sorry,
that’s exactly what happened with this golf picture!!
After the drawing was inked over and the pencil was erased,
I colored it with markers
I used 2 colors of green for the grass

I used 2 colors of brown for the driver’s head
and light gray for the metal shaft
The golf ball has light gray marker shadows
and also very pale gray colored pencil

“Tee Time!” 5″ x 5,” mixed media on mixed media paper

Draw something you love and
Be Fearless!

What a great sport for your guys to be part of, Jenna. I love the artwork.
Thank you Rita! Superteen is going to try out for the high school golf team.
President Trump is an avid golfer, maybe you can draw him on his golf course with his maga red hat and secret service detail.
Jenna your art work is always inspiring and great that your younger ones are following in dad and grandpa’s footsteps. I haven’t played golf in years, probably because I was never very good at it. Have a great week-end.
haha, thanks Kari! I was never any good at golf either, tennis was my game 🙂
This is definitely a fun one!
Thanks Dorothy!
It is an overcast dreary day over here in Georgia. How heartwarming to turn to your blog and see your special art that honors the family legacy of golf. Don’t you just love “guys”?!!–the ones who golf or follow other hobbies, the men who come to our aid when we need help, some of the Southern Gentlemen who still exist, the guys that tinker on cars, chase a train to get a photo or just generally know how to “fix stuff.” I am not a helpless Southern woman and have strong opinions that I share, but I still love our men who rescue us when it’s needed, love us and treat us just as we would like to be treated. They are in a special class and hold a special place in our hearts. — Georgia Gal, Shelia
I so agree!! Thanks Georgia Gal! Did you get much snow?
You do such lovely work, and your tutorials are great! Marilyn @MountainTopSpice
Thanks so much Marilyn!
Happy Saturday, Jenna! I know it brings joy to your heart that your guys are the third generation to love and play golf. Your art for their rooms is fun and I always enjoy your tutorials! The sun is shining this morning, could be a good day for golfing!
Thank you Pam, it does make me so happy 🙂 It looks like we are going to have mild sunny days this week!
I hope your guys have some of your original Jenna golf art!
That’s my plan!
So simple and cute! Tee up!
Thank you!
What a nice gift!
Thank you Linda 🙂
Looks like golf is one of your families love languages – very creative!
What a lovely way to put it, thanks Mary, it is!
How wonderful that your “men” are following the family sport.
What a beautiful gift for your grandsons. They will cherish this art for years to come.
Enjoy your day, dear Jenna.
Thank you Nancy, they are pretty good too!!
Jenna, that is so cool that your grandsons are following in their father and grandfather’s footsteps. The painting is lovely and what a sweet and thoughtful gift. I hope your weather is warming up – we sure are cold here. Hope you are having a great week!
Thank you Kim, I am so happy they are playing golf, even little Charlie Brown who is 9 has the bug badly, he loves it!
Love it Jenna, what a great idea for art for their walls!
P.S. When I read the title of your post, I read it as tea time ☕ rather than tee time. ⛳😆
haha, of course you did 🙂 !
I like how you shaded and highlighted your artwork, gives it dimension. I don’t golf anymore but my hubby does! “Par” for the course! Haha
Thanks Jill!
