Creations, Judy’s Haunted Halloween

My very talented friend Judy recently invited me over to see her latest Halloween decor……with camera in tow, I couldn’t wait to see what she had come up with this year!

When I saw her mailbox, I knew I was in for a treat!

There were ghosts guarding the graveyard at the start of her drive…

The tombstones proclaimed Auburn Football was no longer alive!

There was some election advice under the vast cob web,

Ohh!, There’s the house up ahead

This beautiful Orange Beach home is not only divine, it is  always dressed to the nines!

Judy came to greet me and we walked down the path along the side of the house, not a creature was stirring, much less a mouse…

but a tombstone announced an upcoming EVENT….with all this decor it will be an evening well spent!

There’s a tropical seating area to the left of the path, where some goblins had gathered near the bird bath

and in the graveyard beyond things were AGHAST!

The spooks were getting SPOOKIER and seemed to surround

Yikes, there’s  actually a LEG sticking out of the ground!

The WITCH seems at home here, but I hurried by

and there up ahead was a SKELETON HEAD!

It hissed and it moaned and it’s orange eyes SHONE!

Around to the pool and the TROPICAL BAR

I had worked up quite a THIRST so far!

the whole bar was shrouded with spooky white WEBS

and more GHOULS hovered around near my head

the lanterns looked GHOSTLY

and the giant spider was not DEAD!

The bat by the pool was starting to DROOL!

This VAMPIRE BAT spun with the fan

and this SPIDER had an impressive “leg span”

This poor fellow was caught in the TRAP,

Archie didn’t seem to care though, he just took a NAP!

As night started falling, it all became quite APPALLING!

The orange lights were AGLOW

LOOK OUT BELOW!

I said goodbye to the SKELETON, the SPIDER

the WITCH and the BAT

You can just barely make out the silhouette of her HAT!

Through the thick Spanish moss that hung from the trees, the moon shone brightly……. wow look at THAT!

I want to thank Judy Oxford for letting me give you a tour of her fabulous Halloween decorations.  Judy lives in Orange Beach Al and is an active member of the Eastern Shore Art Association in Fairhope Al.   She recently won “Best of Show” at the Fairhope Art Festival. You can see some of her fabulous paintings at Fairhope Artist Gallery on Section St.  The stunning painting below is one her many works depicting local people and everyday scenes, elevating common events into things of beauty, and capturing precious moments in time.

She shared some good tips with me that I would like to pass on to you!

Judy made the tombstones out of STYROFOAM.  They look exactly like stone,  even up close!  She said that she found a lot of her stuff at the local Rite Aid drug store!  She’s not only talented, she’s thrifty!  She also said it will probably take her until next Halloween to get all the webs out of her trees!
