Tablescapes, Birdcages & Bluebirds

Spring seems to finally have arrived in most parts of the country
The birds are so happy and singing so loud sometimes I think they are inside my house!
I actually do have a few inside birds that agreed to help with this table
These beauties grace a square dish given to me by my mother years ago
A frog hopped in
with a dragonfly or two~
This little bird is afraid to fly away so he stays perched on the wreath outside his cage
I don’t trust the big one though, so he has to stay in his pretty little white bird cage
The table is set with a green & white lattice print topper and navy cotton placemats trimmed in turquoise and lime
The napkins match the place mats
The bottom plate is acting as a charger and once the plates are stacked you won’t see the yellow, just the blue rim and green leaves
The turquoise dinner plate just lets the cobalt rim and leaf tips peak out
Next is the square green & white contemporary floral salad plate
and the salad plate is topped with a “blossom” bowl. I don’t have 2 turquoise, so I used a white bowl for the other place.
In this photo you might be able to see the detail trim on the mats and napkins, it is a turquoise braid with shiny gold dots.
Bluebird goblets are for a crisp white wine, and turquoise beverage glasses for water stand by. {don’t worry my mother taught me better than this, I just put the glasses on the outside of this place setting for better photos!}
We are all set to enjoy a lovely meal surrounded by birdcages and bluebirds! Thanks for joining us!

Jenna~ I love wreath on your birdcage and your springtime table with your feathered friends! Fun layers of plates with your cheery greens and blues too! You have such a wonderful space and light for tablescaping, I’m envious! Our porch is being dismantled this week and wood replaced so I was hoping for a day to set a table outside but between the pollen, wind & rain it didn’t happen. Happy Spring!
Thank you Mary, I just realized the plates that I thought were lemons were actually pears and onions! I had to do some fast editing 🙂 ! I hope you get your porch back soon, I know I can’t think when my house is disrupted!
What a fun tablescape! Such a feeling of spring! Love the birds.

Beautiful! I love the colors – so cheerful, and the cridders add whimsy. What a great idea, adding the wreath to the bird cage. Great post! 🙂
Such a pretty table, came together beautifully. The bird goblets are stunning, I am a bird lover. 😉 The fruit plates, which are gorgeous, look like plums, pears and onions to me? Love them. xo
Barbara, you are so right about the plates, all this time I thought they were lemons! And they are onions & pears! I am going to do a post featuring these plates soon and a funny story 🙂 Better get my eyes checked!!
Hi, Jenna! Nature has taken over your home!!!!!!! Your Mom’s good taste shines in that beautiful square dish. That’s such a nice inspirational piece from which to work. That is a SUPER birdcage in the center, too!!!! I love the color!
Jenna, I think we had similar ideas using greens, blues and dragonfly napkin rings this week…love your gorgeous table. I really like the square plates.
Have a great week…
Hi Jenna, wow, I love the birdcages as your centerpiece. All your pretty dishes look gorgeous on the navy placemats. The topper just adds the right spark of color. The bird dish that your mom gifted you is perfect for your theme.
While the entire setting is gorgeous, I am smitten with the painted bunting bird. I’ve only seen painting buntings three times in real life, and each time, I was stopped in my tracks, captivated by the colorful little bird.
I also was sidetracked by your short-ribs recipe! It looks absolutely delicious!
Thanks for stopping by my site earlier. I’ve just started following you with bloglovin’.
Wow! Your table is absolutely stunning! Love all the beautiful spring colors.
The bluebird goblets are wonderful! My eyes went immediately to the square dish given to you by your mother. It’s gorgeous!
Your bird cages with the sweet birds are so darling! I love how you used these as your centerpiece. Your blue bird goblets are perfect for this bird theme tablescape. The blue and green hues are so well coordinated in your china and linens. Enjoyed your tablescape!

Everything is so very pretty! I think my tablescape and yours compliment each other. I love the aqua wreath and cage! Lovely!
Kindly, Lorraine
The wreath really attracted me to your tablescape, Jenna. I love the layer of plates and the napkins and napkin rings. It’s very pretty all over…Christine
The colors are fabulous together. I love the square dish and the sweet birds in their cages. A truly lovely table. have a blessed week, xo marlis
Very pretty and the glasses are awesome!
I love every inch of this. The colors are wonderful, and it’s all so springy.
I giggled about moving the glasses about for a better picture. That is the kind of the thing I would do…. and it is the kind of thing I’d make sure to mention that I had done, just like you
Love the mix of blues and greens..and the square bird dish from your mother is gorgeous!
WoThanks for linking to the challenge at Let’s Dish!w! That looks wonderful. So many pretty colors and you paired them beautifully! Love the centerpiece!
