Tablescapes, Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are spending this day with family and friends. We are celebrating in our favorite spot, remembering all those that have sacrificed for our freedom, and counting our blessings.
If you look carefully at the shape in the distance you will see a red, white, and blue parasail floating over the Gulf waters~
For our coastal celebration we have to include a nautical centerpiece
The boat is afloat on a sea of blue woven mats
The blue and white boat is filled with colorful balls, bottles and flags
and I couldn’t resist adding a beach chair tea light just for fun~
My good friend SC, who is CC’s other grandmother, surprised me with these little chairs for Mother’s Day, Sweet! I can’t wait to use them all over the place this summer~
The stars and stripes napkins are anchored with mini life preservers
The red and blue glass glistens in the bright sunshine
A white wicker table stands nearby for serving and extra glasses
and we are ready for a lovely meal
on a summer day
Tonight we’ll set the candles aglow
and tomorrow
our guests will head home and I can really be lazy!

Thank you Sally! I am having so much fun with them, you will see them again very soon!
This floats my boat Jenna! So patriotic, nautical and picturesque with your watery blue backdrop! The chairs are such a fun touch… SOS, I need life ring napkin rings! 🙂 Hope your Memorial Day was delicious!

For starters, the wooden boat is outstanding! I love how the elements in the boat kept changing. Great tablescape in a beautiful setting. Thanks for inviting us to the party. Cherry Kay
Love that centerpiece! It’s filled with such great texture and then what ultimately surrounds it makes for a wonderful table.

I LOVE those life preserver napkin rings!!!! What a cute idea! They really tie in with the boat, and the colors are totally all in for the red, white and blue!!! I love the pattern of your plates, too!
I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend, and that you got a chance to veg out after your guests went home! We all need that every so often!!!
Love the boat centerpiece! You put some fun things in there. I like the glass floats, beach chair, blue bottles and flags you put in it. It gives me inspiration for my nautical family room. The pattern on the dishes goes great with everything! What a nice setting and location!
What a GREAT patriotic table….my eyes were just dancing, trying to take it all in. Oh to be sitting on the edge of the water & eating from this setting…glorious!
Fabulous table…I ♥ those dishes and placemats! What a fun centerpiece.

Thank you Liz! Happy Memorial Day! >
Love everything about this table, especially your creative centerpiece!
Can you tell me where to buy the plates that you have shown here? I was gifted a set like that and have not been able to find matching pieces despite all my searching. Please help! Everything looks amazing, by the way!!
Hi! Can you tell me where you bought your plates? I was gifted a set of two like that and have been searching high and low online to find where I can buy more. Everything looks lovely!!
hi Jess, I got the plates at Christmas Tree Shops several years ago, and then found the salad plates last year. If you can’t find any more you could always mix them with square white or navy plates. Old Time Pottery has a great selection of white ware. Good luck!
