Take-out Tuesday, Bad Boy Birthday Bars
Posted by the Painted Apron on January 7, 2014 · 10 Comments

When I say BAD Boy, I am using the slang bad, meaning GOOD!
The reason these are sooo bad is that they are so good!
Another reason they are so bad is that they are full of all kinds of yummy things
which really does make them bad, but makes them taste really good!
The really good part about these Bad Boys is that I got rid of all the bad things in my pantry
which is good!
I made these for my son in law, NG [nicest guy], who has a sweet tooth the size of Texas! His birthday was Sunday so I wanted to make sure he had some sweet treats!
I meant to put chopped Snickers in these but I forgot decided not to overdo… but I did put Chia* seeds in the cookies before baking, which is good, but I still have the Snickers bars, which is very bad!
Here’s the recipe:

BAD BOY BIRTHDAY BARS
Ingredients
- 2 cups potato chips crushed fine in food processor [about 8 oz or 6 cups whole chips, I used Lays regular]
- 4 T unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 2 T chia seeds* [optional]
- 1 cup chopped walnuts pecans or cashews
- Birthday [rainbow] sprinkles or non pariels [optional]
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Combine butter and potato chips and press into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Layer candy chips, nuts, and Sprinkle with Chia seeds if desired.
- Pour milk over all, top with sprinkles and bake at 325 for 35 minutes or until done. Cool thoroughly and cut into bars or squares.
Be sure to give these away fast!!
Do you save those clear plastic boxes from the bakery section at your grocery?
They make great gift boxes for goodies and I love keeping a variety of the plastic storage ones around too~
Nothing better than a little love from the kitchen!
