Party Panache, EZ Party Favors and Prizes

The party favors and prizes for last weekend’s Cook Your App Off! party went together easily with just a little shopping
I hit Olde Time Pottery, World Market and the Grocery Store looking for all things orange
I got a ceramic lattice square planter, a chef wine bottle holder and an orange colander to use as containers for kitchen items, clockwise from left: scoop, orange slice notepad, cookie cleaver, knife, pumpkin scoop, dish towels, an Alabama Margarita in a jar, mini rolling pins and wooden spoons
I decided to jazz the spoon handles up a little with paint. I put masking tape on 2 for stripes and painted the other 2 solid orange and added white dots
#1 prize was the ceramic planter and the Margarita, lined with colorful orange kitchen towels, scoop, knife, pumpkin scoop, rolling pin, wooden spoons, note pad and papaya hard candies
#2 was the chef wine bottle holder with a premixed Mimosa in a bottle from World Market
and a bucket full of smaller goodies clipped to his hat
Prize #3 was packed in an orange colander
A set of dish towels, cans of mimosas, a dotted spoon and a cookie cleaver, an orange slice note pad, a clip, and a mini rolling pin
These basket gifts were gender neutral, and full of fun things for any kitchen. They were ready to be presented and did double duty as party decor
When we discovered there was a tie for third place, we quickly wrapped another Alabama Rita with a burlap bow and 2 straws
Since the guests do all the cooking, the least we can do is send them home with a prize and/or a party favor
We didn’t even bake this mix, just the shop, dump and pack method
A trip down the snack aisle for all things orange
Some large bowls for mixing
clear treat sacks tied with orange pipe cleaners [Hobby Lobby]
and computer generated tags
People are already talking and planning for next year!
Thanks so much for visiting and happy partying! And I promise, THIS party is now over!

Good thing you had a little stash of the Bama-Rita’s:@) Joking aside, this really does sound like a fun way to throw a party! Looking forward to hearing what next year’s theme will be!
What can I say? I’m imagining shopping for all things orange and wondering what I would fine. Putting the prizes together had to be such fun and the recipients had to get a big kick out of them.
Fun, fun, fun Jenna! I love how you painted the wooden spoon handles and your orange bundles of prizes! Your ‘Bama ‘Rita in a jar with the ribbon & straws is too cute 🙂
