Creations, Chevron Wine Cooler

There was a huge shelf of these on sale at Hobby Lobby recently, $2

Some of them were imprinted with the words Wine Cooler.  Hmmm…..

I remembered a wine cooler trend a long time ago, you were supposed to soak the terra cotta cooler in cold water and then you’d place your bottle inside to stay cool

I decided to try out chevron Frog Tape

It was a little tricky to apply around this round vessel with slightly bumpy texture so I expected some bleeding

Not too bad, nothing that a row of dots can’t disguise

I often design as I go

At this point I decided to add a checked rim and then see how it looked, before I did anything else

All done!

I made it to match my Ladies Retreat, my little escape spot~

It’s handy to have a wine cooler 🙂

Note: I have not tried soaking this in cold water, so I can’t vouch for that, but it does keep the bottle cool for a white.  To use this as a vase I will put a small glass inside so the water won’t sweat through~

Psst…in case your wondering why all the blue today, we are celebrating the birth of bouncing baby boy yesterday, 8 lbs 5 oz, CC’s little brother!

Congrats Jenna! A new baby is so exciting, enjoy every minute:@)
PS-you got me… What exactly are they doing in that last pic??? Inquiring minds want to know…

    • They’re blowing up a “Wubble” which is a giant bubble ball. They played with it in the backyard for about 3 minutes before it popped! They were so disappointed, cool idea but the company needs to make it a little sturdier, it popped just by bumping a bush!

So stinking creative you are! It is adorable – and for a bit over 2 bucks! Thanks for the inspiration! And congrats on baby boy! And I must ask – what is the gang doing in the last “chaos” photo? 🙂

    • That’s a “Wubble” which is a giant blow up bubble, which popped almost immediately, so don’t buy one unless you have a padded gym to play in!! Oh well, a few more peeps and jelly beans made things all better…

Love your painted wine cooler Jenna! Congratulations on the arrival of your newest addition, 8 lbs 5 oz is a keeper! Hope mom, baby & CC are doing well 🙂

  4. Kathleen says:

We had the same experience with the Wubble Christmas Day. That company should be ashamed for selling such an inferior product, and not cheap either!
Congrats on your new grandchild! God bless !
