Home Decor, Silverhill Market

Today we’re going to do a little shopping!
Welcome to Silverhill Market
This funky little spot is tucked away in Silverhill Alabama, between Fairhope and Robertsdale, about 45 minutes from the beaches
When I pulled up to this polka dot tire rooster, I knew I was going to love this place!
The Southern Bloggers Jubilee had their May meeting here and we were greeted by eye candy and Southern hospitality everywhere!
So much to see!
There’s a market, cafe, boutique and a barn
and something to see literally on every square inch of the property, inside and out!
The barn has a red door of course
and is adjacent to a vine covered gated garden
Roosters roam among the blooms
and this burlap “hostess” with her “highlights” greets you at the door
Let’s go inside and have a look
It is “udderly” charming!
Lots of inspirational words and signage
I loved this turnip greens sign flanked by the black striped valances
We spied Audrey Hepburn so we knew we were in the right place for high fashion
You can powder your nose in the powder room, but that’s about it!
The kitchen is a busy place too, but not for cooking…for perusing all the wonderful goodies to buy
Burlap valances hug the windows and white lights brighten dark corners
There’s everything from marmalade to moonshine
In the cafe you can get a fancy coffee and a piece of homemade cake
The ceilings are galvanized roofing tin and the floors are wooden
You will find lots of characters
Outside there is a bamboo garden with paths, benches and curtains!
This is a cool way to hang groupings, unifying arrangements with large colored frames
How about this unusual lamp shade
Every girl needs a chandy to hang her pearls on
and a window filled loft to display her gowns
This chicken wire “gown” decorates the lawn out front
The nursery beckons gardeners with a rainbow of flowers
Whimsey and fun
Is absolutely everywhere
What a charming place
I will definitely be back soon!!
Believe it or not, I didn’t buy a thing, I was too overwhelmed with all the creativity everywhere~did anything you’ve seen inspire you? Put your creative hat on and get busy!

Thanks for the link to my post Jenna! I missed a lot during our visit. There was even more to see than what’s in your photos and my photos combined! So much cool stuff! Lots of inspiration too! I will definitely have to go back and take my time going through it all again.
I agree, it was hard to take it all in! Everything was so cleverly displayed too, I could spend hours…hope to see you next month~
Now I hate that I missed this meeting more than ever! Perhaps you and I could meet there again sometime when you are down this way! Thanks for mentioning SBJ!
That would be really fun Kim! I plan to be around a lot this summer!
This is exactly the sort of place I love to visit! Thanks, Jenna!
This post brought back so many memories. For a decade, we had a condo in Orange Beach, AL. My mother and I had so many adventures–shopping and culinary. Fun post!
I know you loved this outing! I went to a flea market in Florence today, but it was closed. That might have been just as well because I would have a hard time taking anything of size home. I’m likely to get a little behind responding for the next few weeks, but I am checking in.
Jenna, you took so many pictures and captured the feel of the place perfectly! I enjoyed this post…it sort of took me back there, again!
Judy
thanks Judy, I can’t wait to go back and explore some more! >
I LOVE that great red garden chair! Looks like a fun place and Polly and I would get along just fine:@)
Oh what a fun spot Jenna! I keep scrolling up and down the photos, I would have overwhelmed too, delightfully so! I think I might have to have brought home a bird house or some trinket for my potting shed 🙂
What a fun place, Jenna! There’s so much to see and enjoy around every corner. I would love to visit there.
Love this place and all of your pictures. Thanks for sharing with the Thursday Blog Hop!
Thanks, I am hoping to go back soon! So much to see, thanks for the weekly party! >
