Sometimes HH and I just laugh and say that we need an automatic door, like the ones at the grocery store, to accommodate the heavy traffic going in and out of the house…
One thing that cuts down on the flow is setting up an outdoor refreshment station, it really helps slow down the coming and going, and the inning and the outing…
This rolling cart is so handy, it usually stays inside holding toy baskets and other random things
but it easily rolls out the door when it’s needed for entertaining or for busy summer family weekends
Customize the accessories according to who you’re serving
This bucket could be full of beer, or full of snacks!
I like to keep individual snack bags on hand not only for convenience, but humidity is brutal on crispy things
I try to keep some things kid friendly like this plastic beverage server full of ice water so the kiddos can help themselves
The adults get fancier choices
A glass of wine or a martini perhaps?
A boat makes a handy bottle holder!
Lots of colorful accessories
And a fruit filled pitcher ready for sangria
We do keep a big cooler of juice boxes, beer and bottled water on hand outside too
Something for everyone~
Full of temptations
and tasty treats
If you make it easy for everyone to help themselves, you get to sit around and relax! 🌴 😎 🌴
All I need now is a dishwasher that loads and unloads itself!

I love how you repurposed your rolling cart for an outdoor serving station Jenna! Super cute idea for summer entertaining. I bet the kids love helping themselves to the goodies and snacks 🙂
What a great idea! Have a feeling if I did something like this my kids wouldn’t actually go and play, they’d be sitting there eating everything.
ha! I must admit that last summer during a family weekend the kids ate ALL the snacks I had purchased for the whole weekend on the first afternoon! So that’s the downside to serve yourself 🙂
Great ideas for easy entertaining…The individual chips bags is one of those things where I want to slap myself for not figuring it out first! My porch is not too far away from yours, so we share that humidity problem…and it’s just not appetizing when a chip doesn’t crunch when you bite into it!
I have one of the antique baby bathtubs from Europe that I use for drinks on the porch in the summertime…It’s one of my favorite “porch” things.

oh what a cool way to serve drinks, Judy! I have seen a claw foot tub in someone’s back yard full of drinks and thought that was the cutest thing ever, an antique baby tub would be even better! >
I do this same thing! I found a vintage tea cart at an auction. It wasn’t in the best condition, but it is perfect for outdoor use on the covered veranda. From My Carolina Home

Love all the blues and aquas…cool, perfect summery color scheme. Great layout…love it!
When it’s not so hot we set up iced beverages in big tubs outside on the veranda, it looks pretty I think. When it gets this hot everything is set up in the kitchen. Love your white table and how you use the beach theme.
