Tablescapes, Rumble in the Jungle

This table was inspired by the recent “rumble in the jungle”

My animals are well protected

On special occasions they are invited out of their case to join the party

DSC_0005

They are extremely well behaved

DSC_0032

They know hunting is not allowed here, only dining

DSC_0041

They can roam freely on the table runner

This table is set for 5

So I balanced it by placing the main centerpiece at one end

3 tall candlesticks with earthy orbs and 2 shorter gold patterned candles

Each end of the table has a glass candlestick, inverted, and used as a vase for yellow roses

Running cheetah candlesticks join the animals

The table was elegant yet comfortable

The menu was impressive, but simple…everything can be prepared with ease or ahead of time

Now don’t you feel like having a little dinner party?  See the menu details below for inspiration~

Menu

POPPERS:  Prosciutto & Sausage Pineapple Poppers  got a new twist by using garden jalapenos, filled with purchased pineapple cream cheese and wrapped in bacon.   No photos, they were gobbled up  🐷

GOUDA GRITS: I took my traditional Baked Cheese Grits recipe and substituted Smoked Gouda for the cheeses

I was going to serve Bourbon Glazed Brussels Sprouts and Bacon Kebabs but since we had bacon on the poppers I just made simple Roasted Brussels Sprouts.  Prep takes 5 minutes and they will roast in the time it takes to grill the steak

Another easy, yet dazzling recipe to wow your guests is Roasted Fennel and Brussels Sprouts with Shallot and Bacon Salt found on Rock Star Roasted Vegetables here

roasted veggies

The main course was beef filet, marinated in our favorite Teriyaki Tenderloin Marinade and grilled.  Forgive the Christmas photo, I did not snap photos due to more gobbling   🐷

Peanut Butter Pie in a Jar was handed out and taken to the living room to enjoy after dinner~

Follow the S formula: keep it SIMPLE, add some SPARK, and SPREAD out tasks over a few days to insure you won’t be STRESSED!
