Holidays, Happy Memorial Day, Be Proud!

In honor of Memorial Day, I want to share a quick little story…
One of my very special friends recently took a field trip to Washington D. C. with her middle school aged daughter’s class
They toured and toured and saw and did, and then she told me the most incredible thing…
When they went to Arlington National Cemetery, her daughter cried…
She saw all the row upon row of graves and she cried…
She got it, she understood
This innocent girl of such a young age, she cried trying to comprehend all those brave souls that died for her freedom…
My friend’s heart was bursting with pride…
Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸 Be Proud!
Today the USA marks Memorial Day 2016. But what does this American public holiday mark? Now this is what this day is all about God bless and keep us all.
We need to teach our children the meaning of our patriotic holidays. I am very proud of my dad who served his country. We always celebrated with pride the red, white and blue holidays. Thanks for the story Jenna………..
beautifully proud! 🙂
Jenna, love this story! I have cried every time I have been there! God bless all the families whose loved ones paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom!
Great story! So nice to know that some of our children still do get it! Our freedom is all too often taken for granted, with no regard to the sacrifices made! May we never forget! …love your Memorial Day shots! 🙂
That IS incredible. I love that story. I hope you have an awesome Memorial Day.
Aw, very touching. I hope you’re having a nice Memorial Day:@)
Jenna, Arlington National Cemetery is a sobering sight. It sounds like her daughter is an old soul to comprehend the sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price to protect and serve us. Wishing you a Happy Memorial Day!
We should never forget those that gave so much for the freedom we have today. Be Proud is right.
Such a sweet story. We all should cry over the brave men and women who have served and died for us!
