Creations, Picnic Basket Redo

I’ve had this picnic basket for ev er
I decided to perk it up a little
This is a 15-20 minute project
Don’t you just love a speedy little craft?
Let the paint dry for an hour or so
Then tie on a pretty ribbon
Tuck in a simple fabric liner
I used a yard of fabric and machine stitched the edges, then folded it to fit inside
If you use a large piece of fabric, you can use your liner for a tablecloth too
Gather your picnic supplies
Pack your basket!
Now you’re picnic ready
Stop by tomorrow for a Sunny Summer Seaside Picnic
I’ll bring the basket!

Jenna, As a fellow picnicker, I love the pretty make over you gave your basket! I love the sweet vintage looking cloth or placemat she’s sitting on too! I’ll see you tomorrow and bring the wine 🙂
The vintage looking cloth is actually 2 placemats from the Pioneer Woman collection at Walmart. They are reversible, you will see the other side of them tomorrow 🙂 Thanks for bringing the wine!
Love it!💙
Jenna, your cute picnic basket is beach ready! May I come to the picnic?
Of course! >
Sweet!
I adore picnics so much I have a special Pinterest Board just for picnic-y things. Your cute basket idea will be pinned there immediately!
I have to go see your board! Fun!
Lovely transformation for your picnic basket. Love the colors, the fabric and ribbon. I’ve been wanting to plan a picnic but with these hot temps it won’t happen anytime soon. Now if I were at the shore it would be a different story, can’t wait to see your seaside picnic.
Happy day……..
Yes, it is one HOT summer! Picnics in Alabama are for Oct!
Your basket is adorable! This is the kind of post I love.
Tooooo cute! Rosie
What an awesome improvement! I’m so glad to see your successful transformation. Thanks for the inspiration. I have many old baskets that need some updating.
Cute! Ruffles!!! I’ll be there:@)
I cannot believe that you posted about a picnic basket because I was looking at the one that my husband and I had gotten for a wedding gift and was wondering just what I should do with it. We, honestly, never used it, but it’s just so darned cute that I have managed to keep it all these years, I love your idea and may just dig ours out and breathe new life into it. Thanks!
Oh good, I can’t wait to see!! >
You never run out of ideas! I just threw a basket out rather than try to save it, and you make me think that was a mistake.
Love how you pizzazzed up this basket! You’ve got me wanting to go on a picnic!
This is so adorable! I have a few baskets that could use a little makeover and you have given me some great ideas. Thanks!
You’re welcome, have fun! >

This is crazy!! I think your basket is in better shape than mine. Fun to makeover forgotten pieces and make them new again. Love those colors!!
