Creations, Design with PicMonkey, its a Hoot!

Super Boy and Big E were very excited about their first day of school last week so I quickly created these good luck signs for them in PicMonkey, using a variety of overlays and fonts
I have discovered that designing creations using PicMonkey is a great way to not only make cute printables, but to plan out painting projects as well
I want to paint something OWL for fall, so I played around with PicMonkey to see what I could come up with
within minutes, I had a cute little owl model created with different colors and overlays
Here’s the best part, you can try the design in different colors with just a few clicks!
Magic!! 🎩
I designed the Sun Sand Salt sign with PicMonkey
I want to make a new sign for the fall, here’s a mock up of what I’m thinking about
The black area is going to be painted with chalkboard paint so I can change the message
Do you like the moon and the black cat?
I guess it’s time to stop dallying and pick up a paint brush!
Or maybe a witch’s broom!
Are you getting excited about all things Fall?
Juicy Details
here’s how I made the owl:
open PicMonkey and select design, then pick your canvas size
choose canvas color, then click apply
next go to overlays, click on geometric and select a shape
I started with circles to make the eyes, then added ovals for the body, triangles for ears, polygons for the feet and crown. Remember the main shape will be color 2 and you can change the outline from transparent to a color by clicking on color 1. Use the rotate icon to move your shape to another angle
Last I used the Dashed & Lined overlay to create the wavy lines for the breast feathers

Loved the owl design, Jenna!
Oh so cute and a HOOT Jenna! I’m noticing owls everywhere these days and treated myself to an owl cake pedestal for some retail therapy recently. I miss the grade school years of my nephews, they’re in college now, all grown up *sniff*… You know I love your painted broom! )
I can’t wait to see the cake pedestal!!
I’ll have to check out pic monkey. Have never tried. So so cute ! I love the moon and black cat added to your new sign btw. 😉
You can use a lot of PicMonkey for free Jodi, and they offer a free trial month of their royal version…it might be helpful for your card designs…
I like your Halloween mock-up, the cat is cute! I just got back from Dollar Tree, they had faux mercury glass skulls-really cool looking. Happy Sunday:@)
I only know how to do the basics on Picmonkey, but I love using it. I guess I should spend some time practicing. Love your back-to-school signs!
