Home Decor, Falling at the Beach

This has been a busy week with guests, but I did have a chance to get a little fall in the air before they arrived
Look closely inside the rim of the blue pot
this little tree frog was ready to greet our guests too…
I hope he’s around for Halloween!
I tucked a few faux pumpkins around the framed photos on the shelves
A lantern and a large hurricane are filled with straw orbs
A fall magazine issue arrived to perfectly match my color scheme and pumpkin pillows
Thank you Martha Stewart, how did you know?
This corner vignette hides ugly cords and plugs
The dining table is full of fat pumpkins and accented with tall grasses
A tall tiered tray holds fishing & football watching snacks with coastal and fall touches
It’s part of a Fall Hospitality Buffet
Juicy Details
I found this raw wood palette piece at Walmart and quickly realized how rough the surface was when I began painting it
I decided to modify my original design, see the PicMonkey created design below, into a 2 pumpkin stack with abstract leaves because the wood was too rough for smooth lines and details
The black patch is painted with chalkboard paint and lettered with a chalk ink pen so I can easily change the message

lantern fill, faux pumpkins/Old Time Pottery
stripped pumpkin, football ornaments, metal owl/Hobby Lobby

[…] Falling at the Beach […]
I love your touch of fall at the beach Jenna and mix of seasonal oranges with the coastal shades of aqua! Your owl perched on top of your tiered server is a hoot! I’m seeing owls everywhere this fall. I’m still waiting on pumpkins to arrive but picked up a few at the grocery store and Walmart š
Jenna, fall has definitely arrived at your beach house! I love the mix of pumpkins and shells. You are definitely in the autumn spirit… beautifully done! Roll Tide Roll!! That was a nail biter game! Happy Sunday
I picked up s few more pumpkins at Joanns yesterday too. Never too many pumpkins around this time of year š
I just love your coastal home, Jenna, and it’s amazing how you change it into the different seasons, yet keep the flavor of life on the beach! Your guests are certainly fortunate to have you as a hostess: you’ve thought of everything. Enjoy your company. P.S. It’s a good thing I’m not visiting, or that darling metal owl would be making a trip home with me in my bag! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Ha, thanks Rosie, they left with promises to come back soon! Hope you are well- >
Sorry……that should read, “of the beach” ! R.
You are motivating me! Time to haul out the pumpkins!
Everything looks great! I just wish it ~felt~ a little more fall like here:@)
Hello Jenna and happy fall! I love your pretty fall decorations inside and outside of your house. I really love that fall sign you painted! Thanks for sharing at Cooking and Crafting with J & J.
Enjoy the week.

thank you Julie, weāre still in the 90ās but weāre hopeful š >
Jenna, love how you so easily add fall to your coastal decor. This looks like turning pages of a magazine. What a great idea to add the little pumpkin sign by the door and the photo of the table arrangement with it’s background is stunning………….
thanks Emily, it made me dust the shelves! I hate housework š
I absolutely LOVE the orange and blue combination. You’ve done it perfectly here. Everything looks marvelous, I particularly like your filled lantern.
Thanks Pattie! >
Everything looks fabulous. Especially love the painted sign. Thanks for sharing.
You have proven that you really can have fall at the beach! I love what you’ve done, adore the pillows, and I think your painting looks much better than PicMonkey version. Sometimes things turn out better when we go with the flow into a new direction. It certainly worked in this case. Love it! Happy Monday. š
Thanks Kim, yes when I started painting the sign, the wood basically told me what to do, and I love it-youāre so right, youāve got to go with the flow š >
You are so talented, Jenna. Love your fall sign you painted on the front porch.
Wow, your mosaic with the pretty leaf plates, handpainted fall glasses and tiered tray with Mr. Owl looks great. I like how you paired orange with aqua.
Hate to miss the autumn tablescape blog hop.

Great touches of Fall Jenna!
This just goes to prove that you can decorate for fall anywhere! I’ve been so hesitant because it has been almost 100 degrees here. They say it’s falling drastically next week so I’m pretty pumped. I’d love to paint a pumpkin like this. š
Thank you for always being such an inspiration!
Hello fall indeed I love this! Thanks for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story.
