Recipe Box, Lite Cannoli Dip

How about a dessert than is a little less guilty

A sweet treat that feels indulgent

Yet made with low fat ricotta and whipped cream cheese,

Served with low cal dippers

You’ll feel like you had a slice of cheesecake

But with a lot less fat and calories!

This would make a great party dessert dip on a buffet, or can be served individually with small ramekins and dessert plates with an assortment of dippers

It’s light, creamy with just enough chocolate to satisfy…

Psst…you could also use it for a cupcake filling or icing…

Indulge!

Lite Cannoli Dip

Prep Time 5 minutes
Course Appetizer, Dessert
Cuisine American, Italian
Servings 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup low fat ricotta cheese
  • 4 oz. whipped cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Almond emulsion*
  • 3/4 cup mini semi sweet or dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Combine ricotta with cream cheese. Add almond emulsion and stir. Stir in powdered sugar and blend well. Fold in mini chocolate chips. Chill until serving. Store in refrigerator for up to 10 days.

Notes

*I prefer almond emulsion over than almond extract, it is a little smoother, but you can sub almond extract or vanilla extract if desired.
