Tablescapes, Lobster Fest for the 4th

Welcome to the Celebrate & Decorate annual Patriotic Blog Hop!

I hope you get to visit all my fellow tablescapers for amazing inspirations, ideas and patriotic eye candy!

Do you have big plans for the 4th of July?

It won’t be long now, the days just seem to fly by

I’ll be with my family on the Gulf Coast

This is the place we all love the most

Flags are flying in the summer breeze

Which keeps things cool even when it’s 90 degrees

It would be so much fun to have a real lobster fest

But we’ll probably have red snapper or shrimp,

fresh caught and local, is always the best

The table is loaded with flags and fishy things

Crabs, starfish and and red, white, and blue zings!

There’s a lighthouse, flag buckets, and lots of loose fish

A sailboat, glass floats and a big red fish dish

Coastal, nautical, and beachy things with a patriotic twist!

The cute lobster plates are paper not real

Easy clean up after a messy seafood meal

The lobster plates sit on top of melamine shell plates

They are patiently waiting for the next course of steaks

A festive flag plate full of cookies also awaits!

To oversee all the action, this chair is a favorite spot

The basket corrals everyone’s flip flops

A long story short, and all this to say,

I am ever so happy you stopped by today!

Jenna, I can’t believe you take the time
To come up with a clever rhyme!
All your elements of red, white and blue,
Are ideal for a table and coastal home too.
So clever and casual to use those cute paper plates,
Dining on shrimp saves lobsters from their fates.
Thanks for all the nautical fun,
I’m out of brain power so my poem is done!

    • 😂 great job Mary! I don’t know why but when I do tablescape posts my mind immediately starts rhyming things, it just comes to me…so silly! I love your line that dining on shrimp saves lobsters their fates!

Wish, I could respond with a rhyme like Mary but alas I don’t have the brain power to even begin in that department.
Your hand painted flag glasses are so perfect!
    Happy July 4th.

Yes, it would be fun to have a lobster fest
My family and I will likely just rest
    After grilling burgers and dishing
We might be ready for some coastal fishing
Catfish and Shrimp are my personal favorite
Celebrations like these, we have learned to savor it.

  7. This is so festive and happy. I love every detail!

  8. too cute!!! can you call a lobster cute?! The way you do lobsters- they are!!! Sorry, I don’t have the brain function to rhyme my comment. You all are so creative. You have so many little details that I have to scroll through several times to catch all of them. This absolutely looks like the party to be at for the 4th!!! Love it! Have a wonderful summer!!! • Thank you Ann, my table ended up being kind of a hot mess, I couldn’t stop adding things 🙂 We can’t get decent lobster in Alabama so we have to pretend! Not sure if lobsters are cute or not, but they are certainly delicious! Happy Summer!

  9. Jenna, your lobster fest is fabulous! You make tablescaping so much fun with your clever rhymes and your happy personality. Jenna, we had a lobster fest on Memorial Day, but our table didn’t look this splendid! You really nailed the Fourth of July by the beach theme. I love how you blended the patriotic and nautical elements together. I always enjoy the hand made items on your tables and the tutorials. That painted bark lobster is so cool! It’s always a pleasure hopping with you. Happy 4th of July!

    • Thank you Rebecca! Lobster is a wonderful way to celebrate the patriotic holidays, I only wish we could get good ones in Alabama, they are way to stressed by the time they get here 🙂 Happy 4th to you too!

What a spectacular 4th of July blow out! LOVE how you mixed the patriotic items with the coastal and nautical, all too cool. I would never have guessed our lobster plates are paper and I agree, easy clean up, love that! I know all of your food will be mouth-watering DELICIOUS! I would take shrimp and red snapper any day over lobster, they are too much work, ha. Enjoy your wonderful warm weather and the water, we are still getting lots of rain, hope by the 4th it clears up. 🇱🇷🌟🐚🚤⚓

It looks like your stash of 4th of July decorations exploded onto your table and make it so festive! Those lobster plates are so cute, and no extra cleanup for those! The blue crab platter is really pretty and caught my eye! Thank you so much for styling and sharing your Independence Day table with us on this hop!
