Party Panache, Easy Football Feast

Saturday football is something we look forward to all year long

Last Saturday we decided to see if we could beat the heat

with a patio tent and fans

Even though the thermometer hit 96, the tent, an umbrella

Afternoon shade and fans kept us cool!

Ole Miss was a definite threat to Bama in the 1st quarter,

The guys were glued…

The food was inside on the kitchen island, only steps away,

when anybody wanted to grab a bite

With the summer like heat,

I opted to serve  foods that could safely sit out all afternoon,

Italian meats, grapes, nuts, crackers

Pumpkin cakes, toffee pretzels, peanut butter pretzels

I picked up most of these goodies at Trader Joe’s

Cheese sticks, crackers, a cheese board

My challenge was to incorporate a fall theme with Alabama and Ole Miss serving pieces

There was a little bit of everything going on!

The Team Pride Snack Helmet was full of corn chips and salsa

The colored chips are shaped like leaves, so cute!

{also Trader Joe’s}

One friend brought delicious ribs and another friend brought pigs in a blanket

HHjr had the grills going with beef brisket, and smoked chicken wings

It was quite a manly feast!

When I took these photos, the meat was still on the grill, and would be added later

Basically, my part was easy,

shopping and decorating,

no time spent cooking!

It was great to be able to be outside

watching with friends for the afternoon game!

We are hoping to be able to get the fireplace and pizza oven going for a game day soon!

Juicy Details

Having the party outside was a last minute decision so I shopped and paid online, finding the tent and fan at local stores…all you have to do is swing by and pick them up…so easy!!

What a handsome gathering of males watching that TV–I can just feel the testosterone. You did a great job with the snacks for hot weather, and I must go soon to Trader Joe’s (or order) for some of those “leaves.” Total Touchdown with this party, Jenna!

All that food sounds so delish! The tent and fan were good ideas to help against that heat. Hopefully, it will start cooling down soon for you. We are having cooler temps with drizzly rain…yes, fall is here in the north for sure. 🍊🍂
