Creations, November Mailbox Swag & Turkey Wreath

Oh dear calendar, I wish you would slow down!!
Here it is almost mid November and I’m still having fun making fall crafts
Poor Thanksgiving, it barely has a chance squeezed in between popular Halloween and Christmas
I have enjoyed dressing up my mailbox this fall
It looked so naked when I took off the October Halloween swag that I had to do something for November
I had a roll of deco mesh and several rolls of fall ribbon
This is a quick project, tying a length of mesh with twine
This creates “poofs” and helps keep the deco mesh under control
I wanted it long enough to drape down each side of the mailbox
A few faux colored leaves are tied on, using twine or wire
Next a simple bow
with contrasting ribbon tails
And an orange acorn accent
Ready for it’s debut!
I smile every time I drive in and out of the driveway
I also added a painted turkey to the wreath on the front door
I had this wood sign laying around that I picked up at the craft store
It was just the right size to fit in the center of my fall wreath
Simple feathers with shapes of orange and yellow
A simple brown circle and pear shape for the body and painted lines for legs and feet
A few swooshes for details and definition
A pilgrim hat and a wattle and this turkey is done!
I got the wreath at Costco several years ago,
the turkey gives it a bright pop of color against my dark gray door
November is beautiful in Alabama,
the leaves are turning into their intense brilliant colors
It is a pleasure just to drive around looking at them in full Autumn glory!
Enjoy November,
Christmas will be here soon enough!!
Gobble Gobble!

[…] Turkey Wreath […]
I wish Thanksgiving got the attention it deserves. The mailbox swag and the turkey wreath are beautiful reminders that is November. Wishing you a lovely day Jenna!
It was a tough loss, but I am proud that our team didn’t give up! RTR
Thank you Pam…yes tough loss, but they put on quite an effort! My son went and he said it was amazing and security was triple check!
My brother and nephew were there and said the same thing.
Jenna your Mailbox is the prettiest on the street! And yes, Thanksgiving does not get the attention it deserves and its my favorite Holiday!
And the added turkey to the wreath is fabulous. I enjoy all your paintings!
Happy Sunday and Happy Week to You!
Thanks Nancy, I love Thanksgiving and November too!
I feel the same, I give Thanksgiving all of November to shine. I love your mailbox swag, lovely!!
Thanks Carole!
Oh Jenna, love your pretty swag for the mailbox. The color blends in with all the fall foliage that is so beautiful this year. Driving into the city last week for some shopping the color was amazing, especially the trees at the Summit. Thanksgiving perfect turkey to dress up the wreath. Amazing how fast the month is going…….
I agree, the trees at the Summit have been putting on quite a show this fall. Yesterday afternoon I just drove around looking at all the beautiful trees! I’m sure my neighbors think I’m nutty but I am really enjoying decorating my mailbox!
All pretty! I know what you mean about November being so fast. It’s a whirlwind from now till the end of the year!
thanks Jeanie, yes the calm before the storm is about to be over!
Your mailbox and front door wreath look great. You make it look easy!
Yes, the days are clipping by extremely quickly.
It’s a gorgeous day today. Enjoy!
thank you Bonnie, what a beautiful weekend!
I love how you dressed up your mailbox and wreath. It’s all so beautiful! 😊🧡🌼
Thanks Patty Anne, fun quick projects!
Jenna, you echoed my feelings about Thanksgiving so well. I LOVE fall colors and decor, and feel it gets cheated because Christmas carols start right after Halloween!! I hold on as long as I can before switching to red and green!! Love your mailbox swag and your front door decorations, especially the happy turkey nestled in the wreath. I bet it brightens up your mail carrier’s day as well! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you Rosie! My mail carrier probably thinks, oh no, not another decoration! 😂 I have family with November birthdays so we have never put Christmas up until Dec!
What a nice swag for your mailbox and love your wreath too. I need to do something for my mailbox as the flowers were hit hard with a frost and last week I was super busy getting all the leaves taken care of. Tonight they are predicting snow!! 😲 yikes, I’ll have to push the snow away just to get the dead flowers and try to still make something fall-like! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh goodness, fall is messy! We are under a freeze warning tonight and tomorrow, the forecast for Tuesday is high 37, low 22! Thanks for visiting!
Love your gobbler Jenna and mailbox swag! Yes, I wish November would slow down too, it just finally feels like fall. I’m still enjoying pumpkin and some long awaited fall color and cool temps and Christmas is already pushing Thanksgiving out of her way. 🙂
Me too, such a beautiful fall weekend! Not looking forward to the blast of cold tomorrow, our low is predicted to be 22 🥶
Love your wreath and mailbox decor!!
Thanks Jodi!
I know Henna, why can’t we slow down the calendar?? Your mailbox looks all spiffed up and your painted turkey is perfect in the center of your pretty wreath. I’d love to enjoy Fall for much longer.
Thank you Kitty, we have only had a few weeks of true fall weather here, it feels like we went from summer straight to winter, freezing temps today!
Both the sway and wreath are adorable. I really love the turkey in the middle of the wreath. It really brings it to life. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best. I’ll be featuring your post.
Oh wow, thank you so much!!
Thank you for sharing at #ThursdayFavoriteThings. Pinned and shared. Have a lovely week. I hope to see you at next week’s party too!
