Tablescapes, Mardi Gras Table and Easy King Cake

Come on in and join the Mardi Gras celebration
We always celebrate when there’s an occasion!
There’s also a festive wreath on the inside of the door~
Why have just one wreath when you can have more!
The table is set with festive glasses and plates
Anticipating the Fat Tuesday fun that awaits
Masks, crowns, beads, and more
No telling what marvelous festivities are in store!
The Palace Guard has joined the masquerade
A chair sports a needlepoint pillow I recently made
Feathers and beads add up to more fun
This Palace Guard simply won’t be out done!
AND, how about a decorated King Cake,
A ready made Pecan Kringle I didn’t have to bake!
I sprinkled gold, green, and purple sugars on the white icing
Just remove the beads from the center when you’re ready for slicing!

Jenna, you are all ready for Fat Tuesday with your fun table. I love that the palace guard is making appearances for all the winter festivities. I need to learn needlepoint, love the pillow. Happy Thursday!
Needlepoint is lots of fun Pam, I am making Christmas stockings for my daughter and son in law right now, they asked for them! I was about to put the Palace Guard away for a while and then decided to see how he’d look with a mask and beads so he’s safe for now š
I love that the palace guard has joined the festivities. Great styling and thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you Sandra!
How fun and festive you have decorated for Mardi Gras. I love Mardi Gras, probably because of the time I spent living in New Orleans. My sister marched in many of the parades with the her high school marching band, so I got to attend them! I remember shouting “throw me something mistah”
š yes, the parades are so much fun! Thanks Chloe!
Laissez les bons temps rouler Jenna! Love that you Palace Guard has joined the masquerade, too fun. ā„
Thanks Mary, I was just about to put him away for a while when I discovered he could hold the mask! I don’t think I can turn him into the Easter bunny though…:)
Jenna, this is so very festive! From the gold details on the plate stack to the delicious King Cake treats, it all says, Laissez les bons temps rouler! Every detail speaks of fun and festivities!
Your wreaths are wonderful too. And, yes, why have just one? Dod you see the fun Courtly Check masks MKC shared for Mardi Gras? I want to make one to use on a wreath like you’ve done. Won’t happen this year, but planted the seed!
Happy Mardi Gras!
No I haven’t seen them, I must go check the MKC masks! I try not to go to the website too much, too tempting! Thank you Sarah!
How fun! Your party table is awesome with all the fun colors. ENJOY! Love the palace guard. Surely with all your creativity you can design something for him for Easter! š
Ha, thanks Cyndi! I don’t think I can turn him into a bunny, he might have to hibernate for a while š
Your table is so festive! Oh, everyone will have the jolliest time!
thanks Jeanie!
Gorgeous Mardi Gras decorations! Love them!
Thank you Sylvia!

I love how blogging has raised my awareness of just how much the Deep South celebrates Mardi Gras! This post is so fun, and so full of ideas. Your palace guard is a hoot, a real showboat.
thanks Rita! It’s in full swing on the coast, in Birmingham not so much…but since I’m city bound this week I had to bring out the fun!
Oh you are ready! And the palace guard is toooo!
Love Mardi Gras! ššš
Fun times š !
Jenna, Love your colorful Mardi Gras table. The colors pop! The centerpiece really depicts the perfect colors and the added lights are so pretty. Even your palace guard is all decked out. The cake looks fabulous.
Thank you Linda, as you can see, I am having difficulty putting my Palace Guard away š
