Creations, Sweetheart Bottle Vase

Today I’m joining my clever crafting friends

for the monthly Creative Craft Blog Hop!

Thank you Andrea, our hostess, from Design Morsels

Are you coming from Chas’ Crazy Creations?

She always comes up with the best ideas!

I’m in the Valentine mood this week,

so I am sharing a decorated bottle vase

perfect for a Valentine gift or for your Valentine decor

This sweet and cozy bottle is wearing a cable knit sweater sleeve,

tied with a pink sparkly ribbon

and adorned with painted heart glass beads

and fabric rose buds

I gathered some odds and ends and

a piece of an old sweater sleeve,

and played around with pieces of old jewelry

and ribbons until I decided what I wanted to use

The sweater sleeve fit the bottle perfectly

so all I had to do was tuck it under

and glue it to the bottom of the bottle

Then I added a sparkly ribbon sash

I hot glued flat sided glass beads to the bottle neck

Fabric rosettes from the craft store were glued around the top of the bottle

I folded a length of the hot pink ribbon

and glued it under the fabric roses to cover the foil on the neck

Tiny hearts on the beads were painted with a mix of red and pink paint

Hearts are easy to paint, a couple of swishes with a brush,

fill in the center and that’s it!

There is a full tutorial for painting different styles of hearts here

3 pink and white roses fill the top of the vase

and this bottle is ready for giving or decorating

Thank you for stopping by!

So creative Jenna! I especially love the sleeve repurposed from a sweater on your sweetheart bottle vase. Your companion bucket head snowman makes me smile 🙂 Happy Thursday ♥

You know how I love bottles so yours is very appealing. I’m actually experimenting with knitting sleeves right now. We’ll see how they turn out.

  3. Very nice. I hope you are OK, and didn’t get any damage from that tornado!

  4. Jenna, how clever to use a sweater sleeve for your sweetheart bottle vase. I bet you always have creative ideas spinning in your head and this one is so cute. Happy Thursday and stay warm!

Now you have me wanting to decorate for Valentine’s day and I said this year with so much going on with my eyes that I was not going to do that. LOL! I might just have to take that back now! Adorable dear Jenna. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Jenna, you are so creative! I love the bottle vase that you have created for Valentine’s Day! It is adorable and looks beautiful alone or displayed with all your pretties! Happy Thursday! Enjoy your day!

  7. So cute, Jenna. The gray sweater is perfect with the pink and red accents. Your little snowman is cute, too! 😀

  8. How sweet! What a fun way to upcycle and repurpose an old sweater sleeve! You have the best creative project ideas, Jenna!

  9. Love the whole idea! I think I know of a certain Senator from my state who would love to see a sweater repurposed into anything!

  10. Liberty says:

It sure is fun to make your own decorations, isn’t it?! I like the sweater idea.

  11. rachelle says:

Jenna, I’ve been thinking about a pretty amber colored upcycled bottle you did last fall, and you’ve done it again! This Valentine look has so many elements to it, but your clear instructions make doable. The picture with the heart made out marble/wine corks looks like another good craft.
Do you have a link for that?

  12. Cecilia says:

Lovely, Jenna! The sweater accent is my favorite part! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

Clever idea, Jenna. I’m crushing over that bucket head snowman. Too cute!

Such a cute idea Jenna. The Valentine’s bottle looks so pretty with the roses. Love how you use supplies you already have on hand, great way to repurpose.

  16. Chas Greener says:

Love the sweater on the bottle, and what a great way to reuse them. Thank you so much for sharing.

  17. Martha says:

    Love it Jenna!

  18. Cute idea. Love the sweater and the pretty roses. You have your Valentines ready to go.

  19. Chloe Crabtree says:

How cute your sweet little bottle has become with just some repurposing! Of course, it wouldn’t have been an original with some original artwork as in those sweet little hearts. Did you notice before you added the hearts, we could see your reflection in the glass beads? Everything you added to your bottle made it so feminine and romantic, perfect for Valentine’s Day!

  20. I like it even before you got to the final project, just with the sweater sleeve and bow. Thanks for being in the hop today.

  21. Nancy says:

How cute is this! The sleeve is the perfect cozy!
    You are a creative wizard!
Stay safe with all the tornadoes!

  22. lghiggins says:

So cute! I love how you created a vase from a wine bottle. I thought the sweater arm was a particularly good use of old materials.

  23. Lots of lovely cute! The bottle is great but I’m also loving your wee red trees!

  24. Carol says:

Very creative idea, Jenna. We have plenty of empty wine bottles around here so should use them more!!

  25. Beautiful

  26. Sonja says:

Oh my goodness, I love how creative this is! Most of those things I also have at home and it sure feels good using and reusing what we already have!
