Creations, Sweetheart Bottle Vase

Today I’m joining my clever crafting friends
for the monthly Creative Craft Blog Hop!
Thank you Andrea, our hostess, from Design Morsels
Are you coming from Chas’ Crazy Creations?
She always comes up with the best ideas!

I’m in the Valentine mood this week,
so I am sharing a decorated bottle vase
perfect for a Valentine gift or for your Valentine decor
This sweet and cozy bottle is wearing a cable knit sweater sleeve,
tied with a pink sparkly ribbon
and adorned with painted heart glass beads
and fabric rose buds
I gathered some odds and ends and
a piece of an old sweater sleeve,
and played around with pieces of old jewelry
and ribbons until I decided what I wanted to use
The sweater sleeve fit the bottle perfectly
so all I had to do was tuck it under
and glue it to the bottom of the bottle
Then I added a sparkly ribbon sash
I hot glued flat sided glass beads to the bottle neck
Fabric rosettes from the craft store were glued around the top of the bottle
I folded a length of the hot pink ribbon
and glued it under the fabric roses to cover the foil on the neck
Tiny hearts on the beads were painted with a mix of red and pink paint

Hearts are easy to paint, a couple of swishes with a brush,
fill in the center and that’s it!
There is a full tutorial for painting different styles of hearts here
3 pink and white roses fill the top of the vase
and this bottle is ready for giving or decorating

Thank you for stopping by!

So creative Jenna! I especially love the sleeve repurposed from a sweater on your sweetheart bottle vase. Your companion bucket head snowman makes me smile 🙂 Happy Thursday ♥
Thank you Mary, that bucket head snowman is one of my very favorite things…I’m even letting him stay out for a while even though I packed away his snowy friends 🙂
You know how I love bottles so yours is very appealing. I’m actually experimenting with knitting sleeves right now. We’ll see how they turn out.
I love to decorate bottles, infinite possibilities! I look forward to seeing your knit sleeves!
Very nice. I hope you are OK, and didn’t get any damage from that tornado!
Thanks Carole! The tornado was northwest of me, thank goodness, but so awful for those impacted…it was 74 that day which Mother Nature didn’t like I guess!
Jenna, how clever to use a sweater sleeve for your sweetheart bottle vase. I bet you always have creative ideas spinning in your head and this one is so cute. Happy Thursday and stay warm!
Thank you Pam…you know it’s cold outside when a bottle needs a sweater 😂
Now you have me wanting to decorate for Valentine’s day and I said this year with so much going on with my eyes that I was not going to do that. LOL! I might just have to take that back now! Adorable dear Jenna. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy, but take it easy and don’t over do! Let your sweet family take care of you, maybe you could get your girls to decorate for you!
Jenna, you are so creative! I love the bottle vase that you have created for Valentine’s Day! It is adorable and looks beautiful alone or displayed with all your pretties! Happy Thursday! Enjoy your day!
Thank you Shannon, I love to decorate bottles 🙂
So cute, Jenna. The gray sweater is perfect with the pink and red accents. Your little snowman is cute, too! 😀
Thank you Ricki Jill!
How sweet! What a fun way to upcycle and repurpose an old sweater sleeve! You have the best creative project ideas, Jenna!
Thanks so much Gail!
Love the whole idea! I think I know of a certain Senator from my state who would love to see a sweater repurposed into anything!
ha ha, I have gotten a lot of mileage out of that old sweater, part of it went to pillows for my daughter!
It sure is fun to make your own decorations, isn’t it?! I like the sweater idea.
Thanks Liberty!
Jenna, I’ve been thinking about a pretty amber colored upcycled bottle you did last fall, and you’ve done it again! This Valentine look has so many elements to it, but your clear instructions make doable. The picture with the heart made out marble/wine corks looks like another good craft.
Do you have a link for that?
Hi Rachelle, I do like to play with bottles 😂 thank you! Here is the link to the wine cork heart https://thepaintedapron.com/2015/01/15/creations-wine-cork-heart/
Lovely, Jenna! The sweater accent is my favorite part! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you Cecilia!
Clever idea! Love that bucket head snowman! 😍
Clever idea, Jenna. I’m crushing over that bucket head snowman. Too cute!
the snowman is one of my very favorite things, I still have him out even though I put the rest of my snowy things away. Thanks Sarah!
Such a cute idea Jenna. The Valentine’s bottle looks so pretty with the roses. Love how you use supplies you already have on hand, great way to repurpose.
Thank you Emily, I love to decorate bottles 🙂
Love the sweater on the bottle, and what a great way to reuse them. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Chas 🙂
Love it Jenna!
thanks Martha!
Cute idea. Love the sweater and the pretty roses. You have your Valentines ready to go.
thank you Linda!
How cute your sweet little bottle has become with just some repurposing! Of course, it wouldn’t have been an original with some original artwork as in those sweet little hearts. Did you notice before you added the hearts, we could see your reflection in the glass beads? Everything you added to your bottle made it so feminine and romantic, perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Thank you Chloe!
I like it even before you got to the final project, just with the sweater sleeve and bow. Thanks for being in the hop today.
Thank you Andrea!
How cute is this! The sleeve is the perfect cozy!
You are a creative wizard!
Stay safe with all the tornadoes!
Thank you Nancy! Tornadoes in January are rare, it was 74 that day, which makes Mother Nature crazy…today the high was 46…winter in the South!
So cute! I love how you created a vase from a wine bottle. I thought the sweater arm was a particularly good use of old materials.
Thank you Linda, I love to decorate bottles
Lots of lovely cute! The bottle is great but I’m also loving your wee red trees!
Thank you Jeanie, I got an assortment of different color bottle brush trees last year at Hobby Lobby, they are alot of fun to decorate with!
Very creative idea, Jenna. We have plenty of empty wine bottles around here so should use them more!!
ha ha, we seem to have a lot of empties too, and they are so much fun to decorate and decoupage! Thanks Carol
Beautiful
thank you!
Oh my goodness, I love how creative this is! Most of those things I also have at home and it sure feels good using and reusing what we already have!
Thanks so much Sonja! It’s fun to challenge yourself to use what you have isn’t it!
