Tablescapes, Celebrating the Green!

Welcome to the St. Patrick’s Day Table Setting Blog Hop!
Our hostess this year is Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz,
thank you Debbee!
Whether you’re a friend, a reader
or you’re coming from Design Morsels Welcome!
I’m Celebrating the Green today!

I wish for sunshine and warm temps to come everyone’s way
And I’m thinking about the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day!

The table I’ve set is just for two,
me and you!
The chairs are tied with a festive bright orange sash

The plates hold a shamrock and a pot of gold cash

Shamrocks decorate glasses and hang from above

There’s so much about St. Patrick’s Day you just have to love!

The offset runner is dotted with a small Irish village,
flags, flowers and a hat
Salt and pepper reside in cabbages, imagine that!

There are a few lads and lassies strolling around

Now all we need are bagpipe sounds

May the luck of the Irish be coming your way,

And I wish you a rainbow filled St. Patrick’s Day!

“Irish village”

And here are some favorite St. Patrick’s Day recipe ideas
for your celebration!

Jenna, I love your addition of the Irish flag at your table and nod to it with your accents of orange as well as green and white. I had to chuckle at “Salt and pepper reside in cabbages, imagine that” 😉 Thanks for the rhyming fun this morning. Love the sun highlighting your table. We’re seeing the sunshine here this morning after two very wet and dreary days. . .a welcome sight! ♥♣
Thanks Mary, I was so glad I was able to grab my camera when the sun light hit the table…I can’t believe St. Pat’s is only 2 weeks away!
What fun! As I was looking at this I thought, Ï need green placemats! It’s very cheerful and fun. I know my Littles would adore that little village, although I doubt it would stay intact very long! It’s a happy table, Jenna. Lovely!
Do get some green placemats Jeanie, I use these ALL THE TIME! I’ve had the little houses forever, can’t even remember where or why I got them!
Fun and festive as always Jenna, love it!
Thanks Martha 🙂
A lovely table Jenna. Adding the shamrock and pot of gold to each plate is a wonderful idea. Love the addition of the Irish flag. Such a sweet little village you added. The cabbage salt and pepper shakers are too cute. The shamrock painted glasses are the icing on the cake.🍀 Always a pleasure to see your creative tables Jenna. Happy March.
Thank you so much Linda! I was thrilled to see you are this year’s Keeper of the Cloth and loved your leprechaun fun!
So cheerful to look at! Love all the little details in your tablescapes!
Thanks so much Dorothy!
Jenna, what a delight! I love your use of traditional Irish fare in the flags, the village and color scheme of your table. Your whimsical poetry is always a treat, and consistently seems to just roll right off your tongue (does it really come that easily?). I would love to be among the lucky to join you for this table time together, or any other time for that matter. I know I’ll be lucky in food fare too! Best ‘o the season to ya, lass!
Thank you Rita, the rhymes do pretty much just happen 🙂 I would love to have you at my table!
Ah, and a fine table ’tis–especially for me who is descended from Scots Irish folk who came over from Belfast, hit the SC shore and migrated on down to Georgia. I always have my shamrocks out to show my Irish pride–just decorated a bit yesterday. Your beautiful table sent me on a search for Irish quotes–here are a few–wish I were as wise as those in my family who came before me:
May your home always be too small to hold all your friends. (My favorite)
May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.
May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone too far.
A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures.
May the hinges of our friendship never grow rusty!
A friend’s eye is a good mirror.
And “top o’ the morning to you”–Georgia Gal
I love the quotes Sheila!! And they are so true! How fun to have Irish relatives and Irish pride! Thanks so much for sharing all this tidbits and Happy St. Patrick’s Day Georgia Gal!
Jenna, all of that pretty green is so pretty for spring! That lovely sunlight shines so perfectly on your beautiful and festive table. I love how you added the Irish village to your centerpiece! Enjoy your day!
Thank you Shannon, the sun was an unexpected treat!
Jenna! I look forward to your prose within your table settings as well as your artsy talented painting. And you did not disappoint. I am sure your family will enjoy sitting at this clever table because there is a little something, something to discover every where one looks. I want to visit the little Irish village nestled at your centerpiece.
Thank you dear friend for your beautiful Irish table.
Kari
thank you Kari, so sweet!
I really love the little Irish village that you set, Jenna. I would have such fun sitting at your table and playing with it, and with the lads, laddies and friars. You always come up with something clever with your decor and your poetic words. 🍀
Thank you so much Kitty!
Happy sunny Wednesday, Jenna! I always love when you amuse us with your rhyme, just another one of your many talents. The little Irish village is so cute and I love the addition of the Irish flag. It would be wonderful to sit at your table and enjoy all the green!
Thank you Pam, I’ve had those little houses forever, and can’t remember where or why I bought them 🙂
Jenna, you know I’m a fan of your rhyming text. So clever! Love the touch of orange and your centerpiece. It’s cold but sunny here. Just perfect and sun is streaming in across the sofa in our living room. I fine sunbeams magical. Happy St. Patrick’s Day and birthday to your granddaughter. Fun to hop with you!
Thanks so much Sarah, enjoy your MKC shamrock plates this month! ☘️
Jenna, lucky me to have you add your unique table stylings to my first ever hop! Thanks so much for taking part. The Irish village is adorable! And, I think cabbage s/p shaker are perfect too — we always had corned beef and cabbage growing up. Love the layering of your linens and plate stack with the great pop of orange too. Assume you painted those oh-so-cute glasses?
Aw thanks Debbee and thank you again for hosting the hop. I’ve had those mini houses forever, and yes I painted the glasses. Have a wonderful St. Patrick’s day and I loved hearing about Whiskey’s antics on your post!
Love your table for two! I’ve always admired your hand painted stemware and I love those cabbage salt & peppers shakers!
Thanks so much Liz!
Jenna, the warmer temps and sunny days are here! But March is fickle so I know it won’t stay.
Your play on words sets us up for a fun and cheerful table, filled with the pretty colors of the flag.
And, I just love it when the sun comes out to play on a table!
RR
Thank you Rachelle, I was so happy I was able to catch some sunshine!

Jenna, I love your nod to the Irish flag with the pretty pops of orange! Your plates are very pretty, I haven’t ever seen anything like them before. The Irish village is such a nice and unique touch! And, thank you for the wish of sunshine and warm temperatures! Winter always seems to hang on a bit too long up here in Canada!
Thanks so much Maureen, I got those plates at Home Goods a long time ago. Stay cozy!
You’ve set such a festive table, Jenna! I’d love to dine with you! I like how you’ve placed the two table settings on one side so both have a view of your centerpiece. Spring is definitely on your table!
Thank you so much Sandra, I sometimes set a table for 4 with the runner offset too, with 2 places on one side and one place at each end. It opens up the table for conversation and gives everything a different and less formal feel. Thanks for noticing 🙂
You decorated such a pretty St. Patrick’s Day table. I like the pretty place setting and the cute centerpiece.
Hope you have a nice week Jenna.
Thanks so much Julie ☘️
