Tablescapes, Tropical Summer
After I painted a placemat to match new summer plates last week
I set a quick table in the foyer to try it out
It was time to replace Spring in the dinning room
with Summer…
My painted placemat is the star of the show!
I found beautiful summer bright flowers at Fresh Market,
including some giant hot pink peonies
I was in flower heaven!
A Parchment Check MacKenzie-Childs vase and candlesticks
matched the blue on the plates and painted place mat
I created a runner alternating unpainted straw placemats
with fun flower trivets and placed the vase of flowers in the center
on the painted mat
Yellow and orange salad plates are topped with little faux blooms
These bright happy colors bring Summer right into the room!
Lots of bold colors do happiness bring
A room full of flowers and color does make my heart sing!

I was so excited to find those giant peonies! Fresh Market is my new favorite store, they make the best bacon cheeseburgers, you should grab some when you go!
