Tablescapes, August Sunflowers

It’s hot, buggy and muggy outside

but inside it’s cool…

the bees won’t sting, the sunflowers are bright

and there’s a frog who just jumped out of his pool!

Fergal’s wearing a crown and is proudly perched on a mossy ball

The bees buzzing around aren’t bothering him at all!

Bees are buzzing on the pitcher and glasses for wine

Surrounded by some of my favorite things,

it’s a lovely place to dine

So Savor and Taste, Enjoy it’s Delish, Yum!

Hi Jenna. I’m wanting to do a sunflower table with black and was checking out the internet and came across your post. How did I miss this? This is sooo unbelievably cute!! I love the black Rae Dunn dishes and flatware and your pretty bee wine glasses and pitcher. Fergal on the tray surrounded by sunflowers is adorable. The napkins are so cool – wherever did you find them? Beautiful! Hope all is well down there!

    • hi Kim, oh goodness, I have been so worried about you, is everything ok where you are? The smoke from the fires sounds just awful!!! I just saw on the news where things were improving but oh my, I can’t imagine! I look forward to your sunflower table! I love sunflowers, in fact I have some new plates that are going to be in a sunflower table soon too. I’ve had the black stripe napkins for a long time, no idea where I got them, probably HomeGoods, that’s where most of my stuff comes from. So glad you’re ok….

  25. Kim says:

    Hi Jenna,
We are okay here – our neighbors a couple hours north of us not so much sadly. Lots of evacuations. There are also a lot of fires in Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia which I think is where all the smoke is coming from. Nova Scotia and PEI in particular have lots of dead brush left over from Fiona last year that’s just acting as tinder. It’s just so dry everywhere in Canada. I love sunflowers too and I can’t wait to see your new plates – I’m sure they will be fabulous. Looking forward to the blog hop next week! Take care.

    • Oh, I’m glad to hear you’re ok…I hope you get some rain soon, the fires have impacted so many. One of my grandson’s is going to camp in Pennsylvania Sunday and it was almost cancelled due to the smoke, but things seem to be clearing up now so he’s still going. Happy tablescaping!
