Fearless Friday, Fall Pumpkin Vignette

I have been adding pumpkins and sunflowers
to my decor this week
As we edge closer to fall I thought it would be fun to draw
a fun Fall vignette today with printables
for you to color or print out to use for your own decor

Pumpkins are easy to draw, think of them as a series of ovals

All you have to do now is add a stem

After I drew this trio,
I added a few sunflowers and more pumpkins

When I was satisfied with the composition
I inked over the pencil with a waterproof fine liner micron pen

If you want to color along with me,
you can download this free printable here
It will print out on a standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper
The ink in the printed version is light,
so you might want to go over it with your own pen

If you fancy some pattern on your pumpkins
print out this version here
Okay, let’s color!

You can use markers and/or colored pencils
I used two tones of browns for the sunflower centers

Color the sunflower petals with yellow and yellow orange

Instead of coloring the stems,
I drew brown lines with a marker indicate their rough texture

I colored the leaves with several shades of green

Then I colored in the rest of the pumpkins

I used a brown colored pencil to color in the foreground
and add some shadows

Then I added dots to the background for a finishing touch
with a ZIG color dot pen

If you would like to use this Pumpkin Vignette in your Fall decor
you can print it out here

They are the cutest pumpkins! I am too lazy to do any decoration these days..:-((
Thank you Angie! You certainly aren’t lazy in the kitchen!
Cute pumpkins! Fall can’t come soon enough for me, I’ve had quite enough of this heat!
Me too, and now more hurricanes, ugh!! Thanks Carole
I may give this a try! This looks like fun.
Thanks so much for the tutorial! And the printable.
Happy Weekend!
Thanks Nancy, have fun!
I’ve been working on some pumpkin cards too — and we have a bit of the same style with some of them! (Ink with color.) But your colors are just sock-em gorgeous! I have to say, I am going to incorporate the oval/halves trick. Sometimes my shaping is even a little more wonky than the pumpkins!
Thanks Jeanie, pumpkins are naturally wonky, you really can’t mess them up!
Jenna, I love the pumpkin vignette with the sunflowers. I am ready for fall. Happy Friday!
Thank you Pam!
Such a lovely fall vignette of pumpkins. Gorgeous colors, love the yellow/gold of the sunflowers nest to the orange pumpkins. Great tutorial. Happy weekend Jenna….
Thank you Emily, looks like we’re in for a lot of rain…not happy about the hurricane coming…
Here come the march of the pumpkins!
I know it’s a little early for pumpkins but I couldn’t wait!
Oh, that’s super cute!! Really love your pumpkin
example with oval shapes too. 🧡🌼 🎃
Thanks Patty Anne, I do love pumpkins!
I can’t wait to bring my fall prints out that I bought from you last year – it’s almost time! I love them!
