Creations, Pretty Posy Floral Frame

Welcome to the first Creative Craft Hop of 2022!
Thank you Sara @Birdz of a Feather for hosting

My craft this month is a flower embellished picture frame

This is a quick and easy craft, no artistic skills required!

I picked up some paper flowers
and a white picture frame from Hobby Lobby

I started by painting black checks around the edge of the frame
with a flat square brush
The right brush makes painting checks a breeze

I used craft glossy enamel black paint

Start at one corner and work around the frame
keeping spaces even
On the last side watch the spacing carefully
so the checks end up correctly

After the paint is dry
Place flowers on frame in a pleasing composition
and then simply glue them on

I used a hot glue gun,
but you could certainly use E6000 or other glue of your choice

These colors are pretty for Valentine’s Day

But this pretty posy frame can be used for any day!

Another easy Valentine craft is a Memory Cube

This one was made from cards
I received from special friends a few years ago
I cut out parts of the cards and decoupaged them
on the sides of a wood craft box

You can see the tutorial for the Memory Cube here

Ah, I think you have given something I can do. Your frame reminds me of lampshades I made for a bedroom using fake flowers.
Oh, I bet the lampshades were so pretty!
