Take-out Tuesday, Easy Peasy Cheesy Vidalia Onion Dip

Thinking about upcoming Fall football and game watching noshes

I tried out a new dip recipe last weekend

No gathering is complete without a tasty dip, right?

One of my favorite go to dips is Wedge Salad Dip

And this Cheesy Vidalia Onion Dip is even easier to prepare

Not only can you mix and bake it all in the same dish,

you can assemble it up to 2 days ahead before baking

Simple ingredients and flavorful cheeses

I used Asiago and a specialty cheese from Trader Joe’s,

a blend of white cheddar and Gruyère

you could use half white cheddar and half Gruyère,

or all Gruyère or Swiss, or make up your own combo!

Grate them and mix them together

Chop 2 Vidalia {or sweet onions}

and put them into a greased 1 quart baking dish

Add the grated cheeses to the onions in the dish and mix them together

Add the mayonnaise

{I usually get my mayonnaise in the handy squeeze bottle style,

which is great for adding it to a recipe like this

Drizzle with Worcestershire and sprinkle with garlic powder

Gently mix it all together,

distributing the ingredients as evenly as possible

At this point you can cover and refrigerate to bake later if desired

After 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven it will be golden and bubbly

and it will smell like heaven!

You can dig in with a variety of dippers,

potato chips, tortilla chips, crackers, baguette slices,

celery, sweet peppers, just about anything!

Leftover dip {if you have any} would be killer on hamburgers

or hot dogs too!

This recipe is adapted from Everyday Dishes
