Fearless Friday, Heart Flowers

I have been drawn to a whimsical Zentangle style art lately,
and wanted to try it
I used the photos below from Pinterest for inspiration

Here we go!

This is sort of a combination of intentional doodling and Zentangle,
which is drawing a series of patterns
You can use a template if you like
I just kept adding whimsical flowers and shapes as I filled the space

Here is the final drawing before I began to add color
There is a free printable you can download here
if you want to color along

Now let’s color!
I used markers but you can use colored pencils
or a combination of both
I like to do this while I’m watching sports or a movie,
so relaxing!

All done!
“Heart Flowers” 5 1/2″ x 8″ alcohol marker and ink on mixed media paper

I hope you’ll try this fun technique, just draw and color away,
you really can’t make a mistake!
Be Fearless!
I use this set of Caliart Art Markers here,
it is a set of 121 dual tip markers reasonably priced at $40.79
\

I highly recommend these Mixed Media sketch books,
they are spiral bound with a hard cover
and you get a set of 2 9″ x 12″ books for $19.99

I added this design to my Society 6 Shop,
it looks cute on 43 different items!
Pillow, side table, acrylic tray and phone cover
are pictured below
You can shop here

Thank you Rita!
I can do it! I can do it! Sorry I am trying affirmation to help me build my confidence to try!
I hope you try Kari! This technique is a lot of fun~
Love it! And I can still see your little trademark touches!
Thank you Dorothy, have a great weekend!
These are delightful, Jenna! I especially love how you incorporated the hearts into the flowers! Very pretty and loads of fun.
Thanks Jeanie, I love to color with markers 🙂
Very pretty. It reminds me of a piece of crewel embroidery I did many years ago. That needlework was popular at that time, but I don’t see much about it now. I can tell you like to have busy hands–even when you are relaxing.
ha, yes, I guess I do!
Love this – my high school and college subject notebooks were filled with doodles!
ha, thanks Patti, doodle away!
Your zentangle art looks amazing ~ love!! It shows up so well on your products. My first zentangle was made up of tiny designs and now you’ve inspired me to dream up a large one. Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty.
Zentangle is such fun to do, I’m so happy to inspire! Thanks Allyson~
Oh, you had me with heart flowers – indeed lovely!
Thank you Mary ❤️🌺
I had no idea this style was called Zentangle. I thought it was called, “church bulletin!” I love your touches that make it all yours! So pretty.
haha!! This is a lot of fun, I enjoy playing with markers~
Jenna, I like to have busy hands! I know I can color and this would be fun! Happy Weekend!
I hope you try this Pam, it’s lots of fun!
How fun is this! I’m going to do this in my Journal!
Enjoy your weekend!
Oh good, have fun Nancy!
I love this Jenna, so colorful and whimsical……….
Thanks Emily, fun to do!
Love the fun colors, I love how you make it all look so easy💕💕
Thanks so much Karen!
Oh what fun! These remind me of the coloring books my daughters have given me in recent years.
Thanks so much Linda, coloring is a great way to relax~
Hey, Bama!
I love this art work! It is so interesting and vibrant.
I am finished with church committee duties and back on track trying to catch up with you. We found our pastor and he will join our church soon. I missed entries here and there, but I assure you I will be looking at what I was not able to catch daily. Missed you, but I am your fan no matter where I am or what is going on. Keep blogging, dear friend. Georgia Gal
Hi Georgia Gal, I’ve been wondering where you’ve been! So glad it’s all good! Thank you for the kind words, I’ve missed you too!
This is amazing and looks like so much fun Jenna! There are parts that remind me of spirograph when I was a kid (which is pretty much my talent level when it comes to drawing). Love it on the table and on the pillows – so creative! Happy Monday to you!
Thanks Kim, it is a fun technique!
So uplifting and beautiful! You make it look so easy! Thanks for the recommendations. I’m going to get the cali markers for my grandkids for Valentines Day. Thanks
Thank you Judee, the Caliart marker set is such a good value, I have been using mine for 2 years and they are still like new!
Such fun and whimsical artistic doodling Jenna! Happy February ♥
Thanks Mary 💕
