Tablescapes, Mardi Gras on the Coast

We are relaxing at the beach house this weekend,
Mardi Gras celebrations are in full swing!
Friday night one of my friends was in a Mardi Gras parade
in nearby Fairhope AL
and the Orange Beach Mystics of Pleasure Mardi Gras parade
was last night with more parades on Tuesday
in both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach~
Today I am re-sharing a Mardi Gras tablescape
so you can have some virtual Mardi Gras fun!
February on the coast means
Everything is covered in purple, gold and green!

Mardi Gras Madness, as the locals know
Means bring out the decorations, put on a show!
Crazy, tacky and over the top
It’s fabulous fun and goes on non stop!
The local favorite way to celebrate
Is to get dressed up and eat King Cake!

Music, masks, beads and moon pies

Be ready to catch something when the parade goes by!
Purple means Justice and Gold means Power
Green stands for faith, and there will be bead showers!

The masks make for mystery

Mardi Gras has a fascinating history!

Wonderful Mardi Gras table. I’m baking Mardi Gras decorated cookies to take to pickleball on Tuesday.
Oh fun, your friends will love that!
Beautiful Mardi Gras table Jenna! What fun! I liked learning about what the colors all mean… thank you!
Happy Marci’s Gras to you!
thanks so much Nancy!
This gorgeous Mardi Gras table setting has me wanting to celebrate too! Love all the fun at the beach during Mardi Gras season. Have fun!
Thank you so much, such a fun holiday!
Cooking Red Beans and Rice tomorrow and I hope our last parade isn’t so freezing cold! You have a joyful table!
Thanks Leslie Anne! I know it was freezing Friday night, but things will definitely be warmer on Tuesday~Red Beans and Rice will be perfect!
What a fun table! I love Mardi Gras in Fairhope. It’s been such a pretty weekend, and I’m sure it’s warmer in Baldwin County. Enjoy your Mardi Gras and Presidents’ Day Weekend! Question: What’s your favorite flavor of king cake?
It was really cold Friday and Saturday, but today has been much warmer~ don’t ever buy a King cake at Publix, they are awful, but we got a good one down here at Rouse’s, it had pineapple in it!
Loads of fun, Jenna. I am so glad you are there for all the festivities! I have never seen a Mardi Gras parade!!
You should put it on your bucket list, it’s lots of fun!
Fun post! Enjoy the celebration!
Thank you Linda!
Love the Mardi Gras colors. Your table is so adorable and I always love to see what you have created next! Of course enjoying that table on the Coast adds charm. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
This tablescape is so much FUN! Perfect for Mardi Gras! You really know how to celebrate in a creative way! Thank you for sharing the meaning of the colors. I had no idea! Great post!

Thanks Lynn!
What a fabulous festive table! Oh, let the mardi gras begin!
Thanks Jeanie, fun times!
Mardi Gras done right!
Thanks Mary!
I hope you had fun! We’re heading out to the Biloxi parades today. We’ll see how long my son can take it lol. He bores easily and when he was really little he was having none of it! He’ll probably get a bag full of beads & say, “Ok. Let’s go.” Like we can get the car out lol!!
We did, thanks Niki, enjoy the parades!
What a great table Jenna! I love the Mardi Gras colors, masks, and beads. The food and festivities all sound like they are so much fun. I hope you have a fantastic time!
Thanks so much Kim, Mardi Gras is big on the coast, the schools are even closed on Fat Tuesday!
