Fearless Friday, Witch Hats & Brooms

Let’s have some fun with witch hats and brooms today!

These are easy and quick sketches
that you can use to decorate a journal page,
Halloween treat bags, cards, name tags, place cards,
or anything you want~
Or doodle just for fun!
Let’s do the hat with the buckle first
I used a hat I saw on Pixabay for inspiration
I liked all the drapes and folds

Pick a start point, like the mid left side, and draw a line

Continue up and around, forming the pointy tip

Then down each side and add the buckle

Finally adding the brim

I painted the hat with watercolor,
building the layers from lightest to darkest

For the hat with the stripes and dots, draw a curling cone shape

Then add a floppy brim

I colored this hat with black and orange markers

I drew the 3rd hat in 2 steps, first the curvy top part

Then the brim and moon

The brooms are simple too,
just draw a broomstick and add funky bristles

Then give them some color!
