Take-out Tuesday, Gifts from Your Kitchen
Do your shopping at home by making gifts from your kitchen!
It’s nice to have something on hand for a last minute gift
This buttery shortbread cookie recipe is flavor packed
with cranberries and pistachio nuts,
and perfect for holiday nibbling
Make this yummy dessert ball and tuck it in a basket
with an assortment of cookies for a lovely gift
You could even add a plate and spreader

Or
put all the ingredients in a jar with the recipe
and the receiver can make it whenever they want to

These are made with 2 types of sharp Cheddar,
Worcestershire sauce, paprika and red pepper
for flavor, tang and spice
and can be topped with a pecan if desired
Sable is French for “sand,”
which refers to the sandy texture of this delicate and crumbly
shortbread-like cookie
This is a simple slice and bake cookie,
that’s not sweet,
but just a wonderful buttery bite
with just enough rosemary to tingle your senses
and pine nuts for a pop of flavor and a little crunch~

This is fun for the children,
it’s made with Kix cereal, peanut butter,* white chocolate,
powdered sugar, cinnamon and M & Ms
*make sure the people you give this to don’t have a peanut allergy

you can use for any of these food gifts

There isn’t any cooking involved in these,
but these jars are filled with goodies that the receiver will enjoy
I got everything at the grocery store
except the Peppermint Spoons which I ordered here

These only take a few minutes to make
and you can put them in a gift tin for a host/hostess gift,
or a gift for a friend or neighbor
Make a double batch of this
because you will want to keep some for yourself!
Raspberry White Chocolate Angel Wings
Crescent Roll dough is filled with raspberry jam
and white chocolate chips
and drizzled with melted white chocolate after baking
This quick bread is moist and buttery,
and it can be in the oven in under 15 minutes~
a perfect treat or gift from your kitchen!
Happy Baking!

These are great ideas. Those cheese cookies look really intriguing. I can’t readily find cheese straws here at all, and that looks like a good sub!
Thank you Rita, yes they are just like cheese straws and you could even make the dough into more of a cheese straw shape if you want. I like this recipe because you can adjust the heat level {I can’t do spicy}
The reindeer tags are really pretty. Love those pecan shortbread!
Thanks Angie!
So many tasty gifts from the kitchen Jenna! I wish I had a slice of Eggnog Loaf to enjoy with my coffee this morning. Merry Tuesday ♥
Me too, I’ve got to start baking!
I love the idea of the dessert ball! So festive, and the gingerbread people add a nice touch Jenna!
Thanks Dorothy, this is one of my favorite recipes~
These ideas not only look tasty but they are also beautiful!
Thank you Leslie Anne!
Well, I was doing fine here with resisting temptation till I saw the shortcut pecan bars. I may have to give those babies a try! I’ve been making spiced nuts all morning — now time for something else!
haha, thanks Jeanie!
Fabulous ideas! The Eggnog Loaf sounds delicious! And the reindeer tags are adorable!

What delightful treats and gifts. I would like to try the two non sweet “cookies” myself. Sometimes you want a goodie, but you have had too much sugar; those would be perfect.
Thanks Linda, I agree, I love the savory ones too 🙂
