I have been putting Christmas away this week
and transitioning to winter
I like to do it slowly and often leave a little Christmas around
This Winter Wonderland Tray still hints at Christmas
with the red reindeer and berries

I like to brighten dreary January with white lights and Winter Sparkle

I bring my snowmen out to play

They love to go ice skating!

You know snowmen love to wear scarves

And Baby, it’s Cold Outside~ stay cozy with a fur wrap

Or a sweater and a hat!

A Snowy Winter Wreath greets you at the front door
to welcome you to our Winter Wonderland

There is a tree full of snowflakes and cotton by the fireplace

A Winter tiered tray decorates my studio cabinet in the kitchen

Snowmen are frolicking on the bar shelves

I like to keep things merry and bright around here
so I don’t get the winter blues

As much as I enjoy snowy winter decor,

I’m not a fan of snowy weather
I’d much rather decorate with it than have the real thing
with the schools closed for a Snow Day

Do you decorate for Winter?
Winter Moon items can bring a peaceful touch of winter
into your home while you’re waiting for Spring

Have a wonderful week!

That wonderland tray looks so beautiful! We, esp. my husband, love snowy weather..but I guess that’s because we don’t get snow very often. If we had snow like in Canada, then we would probably get tired of it soon.
Thanks Angie, we don’t get it very often either, but when it snows, our area completely shuts down, we don’t have the road crews to handle it so everything comes to a halt.
I left out a few things that are woodsy and wintery like pine, winter berries, pine cones and white lights, I also have some realistic looking deer, snowy owls, etc.
Like you, I just enjoy small pops of color to brighten a dreary day. Unlike you, I love winter and am sad when there is no snow on the ground so this helps.
I think the reason I don’t like winter is because I live in the South and we are used to high temps, not low ones 🙂
Oh, if I lived in the south, winter would be the only tolerable season of the year. lol. I’m in southern Ohio where our summer temps can top 100 degrees with high humidity too. That’s ridiculous and enough to keep me inside but I know it’s worse in the south!
Your snowman theme is so cheerful for the winter. I love your displays and especially love the black and white checkered cloths.
Thanks so much Judee!
Very nice winter vignettes (except for that real deal outside! Rain I can handle, which is what we have from Ember). I love the trees with deer on the entry table. Last year I got right into decorating post Christmas, but this year I’ve left some winter textiles, and most everything else is a bit spare for a while. I do have my winter moon, poinsettia and evergreens from your Society 6 shop hanging though!
Thank you Rita, I always think of you when I see Winter Moon! I have the original painting up in my living room 🙂
Such fun ideas for winter decorating. I like to do a lot of white in January after the clutter of Christmas. This year, I’m adding a bit of green, just to be different.
Thank you Carole, Happy January!
Your birch cone trees are especially pretty. I love to bring my snowmen out to decorate for winter but this year Christmas will be up indefinitely until the basement is put back together. I can’t even find the snowmen boxes! I think everything got put on top of them because I got Christmas up first. So…. we’ll see! Come March, I may have a snowman post! (It might be the closest we get to snow….)
God luck on your basement, I know having everything in disorder isn’t fun and you can just enjoy Christmas a little longer and look forward to Spring!
I like to use snowmen in January decor as well. I have yet to post my tablescape, but my crystal snowman that was gifted to me about 15 years ago (if not more, probably more) looks very similar to yours. You’ll have to come have a look at the end of the week.
Thanks for sharing your lovely home. I can’t decide what I like the most.
Thank you Pattie, I will look forward to seeing your snowman!
I love all of your winter decorations….so charming! Love the snowmen…love the reindeer, love the berries….love it all. We will take down our Christmas tree and decor in the next week….we then put up our Valentine decorations! 🙂 I don’t have a lot of “winter” decor like you do….so I sure love seeing yours! But we do have a lot of winter “decor” right outside our windows!!! Take care!
Sorry my post came out as “anonymous”
….I am diane in Northern Wis and have been reading your blog for years now. Thanks for your always interesting posts!
Thank you Diane! I’m sure you do have plenty of winter in view outside your windows 🙂 I will be changing to Valentines and Mardi Gras on Feb 1, I hate it when they fall so close together, Fat Tuesday is Feb 13 this year. Thank you for being a long time reader, it is so nice to hear from you! Stay cozy…
These snowman ideas are so sweet – they look as if they came to life! Let’s hope they have some fun before they melt away! 💗
Thank you Mary, I love snowmen 🙂
Jenna, I love all of the winter vignettes. It just occurred to me that I don’t have a single snowman, how could that be?! The snowmen are so cute. My house looks bare since all the Christmas is stored away. I must get busy and pull out some winter things to use for decor. Happy week!
Thank you Pam, January is my least favorite month so I try to keep the atmosphere cheery! Looks like we’re in for some rain and wind, I am staying cozy at home for the next 2 days!
That is a good idea!
Your post came just at the right time for inspiration. I have my Christmas things packed away ready to go up to the attic, but now things look kind of blah! I think there is a trip to Hobby Lobby in my near future.
Have fun at Hobby Lobby, that’s one of my favorite places!
I love your winter wonderland vignettes. Your snowmen are darling!
I now have lots of whites with some greens. A big contrast from all my Christmas red.
Happy January, Jenna!
Thank you Nancy, lots of whites and greens is perfect for January!
Love your winter decor! SO cozy – and beautiful!
Thanks so much Ann!
Jenna, I love your winter decorations! I especially love your winter tray but the snowmen are so darling too. I have birch tree envy from that first picture and your painting of the winter moon and trees is just gorgeous. I am so surprised to see that you have snow – oh my goodness! I have to say that it’s not my favorite thing and we have lots here to spare lol. I hope you are staying warm and cozy there and wishing you a very happy Monday!
Thank you so much Kim! That snow photo is from several years ago, no snow this year but we have had cold temperatures. I don’t like dreary January so I try to keep my spirits up with fun wintery decor 🙂
Love how your house always looks so cozy and inviting. ❤️ I’m not a fan of winter either!
My decorating is really simple with mainly rechargeable white candles. I like keeping some of the photo cards from Christmas too on display in January.
Thank you Jill, rechargeable. white candles sound so pretty!
I love the way you decorate for winter, it doesn’t end the day after Christmas after all. Living in Florida, we really don’t see that much of a change weather wise so I like to extend the season a little too. I’ve got birch branches and pine cones as decor in our great room for the month of January.
Thank you Karen, January is not my favorite month so I like to keep things as cheerful as possible 🙂 Birch branches and pine cones are perfect~
